After 14 years covering the North Texas food scene, our Sarah Blaskovich has a new title: restaurant critic for The Dallas Morning News. 🍽️
She’s the first staffer to hold the title since 2019. But Sarah Blaskovich isn’t interested in simply bringing back the traditional restaurant critic.
Instead, she plans to modernize the role: no formal starred reviews, no disguises and no complimentary meals. Blaskovich will continue to pay for every meal she writes about, while offering practical, authoritative guidance on where to spend your time and money.
She’ll also keep doing what she does best: breaking restaurant news, exploring food neighborhoods, spotlighting interesting people and making sense of the trends shaping Dallas-Fort Worth dining.
“I’m calling myself a modern restaurant critic,” Blaskovich said. “Someone who will spend more time asking chefs hard questions than sharing lofty opinions.”
Follow along to see what our new critic has in store, and you can find the full announcement at the link in our bio. 🔗

White supremacy doesn’t become Christian just because you attach Bible verses to it.
Yet a growing group of pastors are doing exactly that, preaching racism and antisemitism to disaffected young men, building large online audiences, and monetizing the resulting outrage.

@edstetzer No crowd think - do what you feel is the right thing. Someone once told me - dress for the job and be appropriate- if it calls for a suit then by all means go for it
Looks like Jayapal needs to go to jail for promoting this junk which is simply insurrection and a gross violation of her oath that she took as a House member
WOW 🚨 Democrat Washington Rep Pramila Jayapal says she launched “Resistance trainings” against the Trump Admin and ICE and already has over 30,000 members
These are online and in person seminars to train how to obstruct ICE, ORGANIZING PROTESTS, teach boycotting businesses, create movements, ‘local organizing’ and more
I looked more into this and get training sessions are from 90 minutes to 2 hours on Zoom, with breakout groups. Also in person trainings are held. She said they’ve trained about 30,000 people across all 50 states
She has a website and an online form to signup and grow their resistance
How in the heck is this allowed??
What would happen if more pastors were this transparent instead of trying to cover things up “for the sake of the ministry”. Personally I believe our world would be a different place if there was more repentance
Too often, pastors who fail to protect people minimize, excuse, or hide what they did.
Dustin Pennington is doing something different. He ignored a warning about sexual abuse because he trusted his friend. Now he’s resigned from ministry and is telling other pastors to learn from his mistake.
That’s what owning your failure looks like.

Two-minute warning: James Talarico is in the red zone. Talarico thinks there are six genders and that we should spend tax dollars on sex changes for kids. You're our last line of defense, Texas. Make your plan to VOTE!
I remember watching this live on TV and every time I watch it it almost brings tears to my eyes for two reasons to see where we once were and where we are now
President Bush throwing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium after 9/11 remains one of the most remarkable moments in sports.
I’ve thrown out the first pitch at a White Sox game, so there are a few things you should know.
First, it’s not easy. You’re standing out there by yourself, everybody is watching, and that 60 feet, 6 inches suddenly feels a LOT farther than it looks.
And George W. Bush did it wearing a bulletproof vest under his FDNY pullover. (As I mentioned yesterday, my grandfather was FDNY, so I loved that.)
Second, he did get to warm up beforehand—which most of us throwing ceremonial first pitches don’t get to do. But the last time Bush had played organized baseball was Little League. Bush himself later joked, “Little League is where I peaked.”
Third, while Bush was warming up, Derek Jeter came by. Jeter asked if he was going to throw from the mound or move up closer.
EVERYONE asks you this once you’ve thrown out a first pitch. There are two questions:
“Did you throw from the mound?” (I did.)
“Was it a strike?” (More on that in a minute.)
Bush asked Jeter what he thought. Jeter told him to throw it from the mound.
Then, as Jeter walked away, he gave the President one more piece of advice:
“Don’t bounce it. They’ll boo you.” 😂
So Bush walks out there—49 days after 9/11, in Yankee Stadium, wearing an FDNY pullover over a bulletproof vest, with the country watching. He gets on the mound. And he throws a strike.
One of the most important strikes ever thrown in baseball.
Twenty-five years later, the clip still gets me.
And, no, mine was not a strike. But it wasn’t embarrassing either. 😂

Trump is proposing DOUBLING the fees for H-1B Visas to $200,000.
The number of applicants dropped by 87% when fees were raised to $100,000 last year.
Good.
Companies should prioritize hiring American workers over foreigners.
WOW 🚨 The Los Angeles motel where Nick Shirley exposed there were over 15 different hospice companies with a parking lot full of luxury vehicles is now EMPTY, every single one of the hospice companies HAS LEFT
There’s only one reason for this, EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS FRAUD
To refresh your memory it was Van Nuys complex with over 15 hospice companies, just 3 stole $9.5 million
- Guardian of Angels stole $4.8 million
- Blossom Hospice stole $3.4 million
- Miracle Healing Hospice stole $1.3 million
- Total from just these three is $9.5 million
But there were over 15….
Luxury cars in parking lot included:
- Tesla Cybertruck
- Multiple Brand-new BMW
- BMW M8
- Multiple Mercedes
• Second Mercedes
- Multiple Teslas
- Lexus
- Audi
@Brookerteejones “As you walk around this old motel, hospice sign gone, hospice sign gone and as you look in here, it's absolutely vacant. Nick Shirley has literally shut down this whole center that was full of hospice centers — But how do California legislators thank him for exposing this? They've actually passed a bill against him that will stop him from investigating fraud taking place here”
California Democrats are criminals
INTRODUCING: The REAL Sugar Act. This legislation amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to prohibit high fructose corn syrup in food intended for human consumption, giving the food industry two years to reformulate before the change takes effect.
High fructose corn syrup is in our bread, our sauces, our drinks, our snacks, driving obesity, diabetes, and chronic disease across this country for decades. Other nations use real sugar.
America chose a cheaper, heavily processed substitute and we are paying for it with our health.
Our bill will also require HHS, through the FDA, to report back to Congress on industry reformulation efforts and any additional steps needed. This is the government finally doing its job by removing the harmful additive from the market, instead of protecting the industries profiting from making us sick.
Make America Healthy Again starts with the ingredients on the label. No more chemically engineered substitutes.
