@MacEngelProf@TCU_Athletics@startelegram Some might say this falls into the category of “cutting off your nose to spite your face.” Not to mention the complete disrespect to the institution’s newsman booster. A very poor look for TCU.
@JennMGreenberg Technically for HPV which is sexually transmitted. But actually the only cancer vaccine available as there are many types of cancer directly related to HPV infection. Can delay the vaccine until they’re older but will require 3 instead of 2 doses.
@Beesglass@jacobrosecrants And, I’m all for addressing the addiction crisis. But this tactic is unlikely to work. And a weird tactic for Republicans, who generally preach personal responsibility, but this will hurt everyone’s wallet. And people will still do drugs and die.
@Beesglass@jacobrosecrants But that’s different than the reason you first cited which was in fact inflation. I think you realized you might be wrong about the impact of tariffs on cost of goods sold, read some of the other comments and decided to switch arguments.
@Beesglass@jacobrosecrants But you’re legitimately going to pay even higher prices now due to these tariffs. It’s one reason this is perplexing. Everyone complained about inflation/ high costs and said this is why Trump had to win. But things are going to get more expensive now.
@Cary_wh @arhourigan@TheRocketRalph@CantEverDie I assume the travel budget was for one or two big trips but just averaged to $2k month for ease of budgeting. If traveling to Europe or Asia (or taking a cruise) this is exactly what I’d expect it to cost.
@Seanzilla1 My kid was there and said she heard them too. Took shelter briefly in a nearby hotel but police then said she could go to her car near bass pro. I’ve been trying to get info. So far your message is it! Thanks for sharing.
@flounder76@andystaples Yes … my espn+ subscription is proving unhelpful. Not sure why I was able to watch the usc vs lsu game last night via espn + but I guess I should just be glad.
@MacEngelProf I actually like Pepsi, though we don’t buy it. Now we mostly drink sparkling water with the occasional diet dr pepper. But my grandmother drank a Pepsi a day until the day she died.
@lizditz@jtrebach I work in endocrinology. I know of service dogs that do this, but I have a couple patients that tell me their family pets wake them overnight when they are hypoglycemic! Crazy!!
@DGlaucomflecken Turning 50 very soon. I know this is not old. But it’s also the 1st time I’ve bothered to acknowledge that I am getting older. And I sort of hate it. But I also know I’m incredibly blessed. Trying to make the mental shift from staying young to aging well. But also not yet AARP!
Let’s talk white dot syndrome. Generally self limiting but photopsia, blurred vision, & visual field disturbances may persist for months - all scary. Described as an inflammatory condition, would steroids not potentially be beneficial? Any ophthalmologists want to weigh in?
@MacEngelProf We use ear drying powder after each bath. I also currently have some commercial OTC drops that I use when our dog starts rubbing her ears - seem to work. My dad treated his cocker spaniel with a 50/50 vinegar & alcohol ear wash before each bath - vet always impressed by ears.
