This is an unprecedented level of corruption.
Trump is forcing the government to drop ALL tax audits of him, his family, and his businesses—giving him FULL IMMUNITY from prosecution.
What is Trump hiding from the American people?
Congress must step up and stop this corruption.
Reporter: “To what extent are Americans’ financial situations motivating you to make a deal? [with Iran]”
Trump: “Not even a little bit…. I don't think about Americans’ financial situation”
The combination of a strong El Niño and extended disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz is a seriously overlooked risk for 2026–2027, especially given the implications for energy and urea supply chains.
Chances are rising that an El Niño expected to form soon could become one of the most powerful such events on record, according to new data.
El Niño patterns are correlated with food shortages, water impacts and even civil conflict: https://t.co/RbVY8FSXDp
NOAA KEEPS RAISING THE BAR ON THIS ENSO FORECAST… now pushing anomalies BEYOND +4°C in the central Pacific 👀
If that actually verifies, we’d be talking about something that goes beyond even the legendary 1800s Super El Niño events. Again — this is still theory and long-range forecasting… but the evolution and consistency of the signal continues to point toward a VERY strong event developing.
@PIX11News
The Virginia Supreme Court could have ruled the referendum was procedurally defective before millions voted.
The Republican appointed majority explicitly refrained from doing so.
Now they have come back after the fact and struck down the will of the people.
Shameful.
New ECMWF data shows near a 100 percent chance of a super El Niño by October.
The central equatorial Pacific is forecast to surge 2.7˚C above average by then — approaching record levels — and this major climate event will still be intensifying 🧵
Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
Breaking News: The EPA is allowing coal-burning power plants to release more heavy metals like mercury, a powerful neurotoxin linked to brain damage. https://t.co/PPrzUMGiWv
Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change — all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.
Trump posted a disgustingly racist video depicting the Obamas as apes.
Are my Republican colleagues going to continue to bend the knee to a racist, authoritarian president who wants the American people to bow down before him?
No arrests of the ICE thugs who murdered Alex Pretti, Renee Good, or Keith Porter. No arrests of anyone in the Epstein Files. But they arrested Don Lemon because of his journalism.
We are just weeks away from Artemis II, where we will send astronauts around the Moon—farther than any crew has traveled before.
The mission’s press kit is now available! Check it out: https://t.co/R3JaaG8lQU
Today in Minneapolis, ICE agents shot and killed a woman in a shocking incident. Governor Walz has announced the state will ensure a fair investigation, and I am grateful for his swift action.
Many of us have seen the horrifying and painful video, which makes it clear that the Trump administration's explanation of this shooting is pure gaslighting. A full and fair investigation at the state level is absolutely necessary.
Over twenty-five years in the U.S. Navy, thirty-nine combat missions, and four missions to space, I risked my life for this country and to defend our Constitution – including the First Amendment rights of every American to speak out. I never expected that the President of the United States and the Secretary of Defense would attack me for doing exactly that.
My rank and retirement are things that I earned through my service and sacrifice for this country. I got shot at. I missed holidays and birthdays. I commanded a space shuttle mission while my wife Gabby recovered from a gunshot wound to the head– all while proudly wearing the American flag on my shoulder. Generations of servicemembers have made these same patriotic sacrifices for this country, earning the respect, appreciation, and rank they deserve.
Pete Hegseth wants to send the message to every single retired servicemember that if they say something he or Donald Trump doesn’t like, they will come after them the same way. It’s outrageous and it is wrong. There is nothing more un-American than that.
If Pete Hegseth, the most unqualified Secretary of Defense in our country’s history, thinks he can intimidate me with a censure or threats to demote me or prosecute me, he still doesn’t get it. I will fight this with everything I’ve got — not for myself, but to send a message back that Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump don’t get to decide what Americans in this country get to say about their government.
Regardless of how you felt about Rob Reiner, this is inappropriate and disrespectful discourse about a man who was just brutally murdered. I guess my elected GOP colleagues, the VP, and White House staff will just ignore it because they’re afraid? I challenge anyone to defend it.
When I was 22 years old, I commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and swore an oath to the Constitution. I upheld that oath through flight school, multiple deployments on the USS Midway, 39 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm, test pilot school, four space shuttle flights at NASA, and every day since I retired – which I did after my wife Gabby was shot in the head while serving her constituents.
In combat, I had a missile blow up next to my jet and flew through anti-aircraft fire to drop bombs on enemy targets. At NASA, I launched on a rocket, commanded the space shuttle, and was part of the recovery mission that brought home the bodies of my astronaut classmates who died on Columbia. I did all of this in service to this country that I love and has given me so much.
Secretary Hegseth’s tweet is the first I heard of this. I also saw the President’s posts saying I should be arrested, hanged, and put to death.
If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.
