Perfectionism kills Progress - In as much as one desires to get it perfectly right, one should ensure that one is not stagnated by the quest.

Pa Ayo Adebanjo: A Life of Service, Justice, and Truth.
My family and the Obidient Movement got the shocking news of the passing on of our dear father and leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, who was a great pillar in the struggle for a new Nigeria. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and the Afenifere organization.
His death is a profound loss to Nigeria and to all who cherish justice, equity, and truth. As the leader of Afenifere, Pa Adebanjo remained a steadfast advocate for a united and progressive Nigeria. His unwavering commitment to fairness and his relentless pursuit of a better nation have left an indelible mark on our country's history.
One thing my political journey in life taught me, for which I am eternally grateful to God is bringing me close to a few great minds who helped to shape my perception of this land as a great country. One such person is Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the quintessential Afenifere leader.
I remain deeply grateful for his support during my presidential campaign. His endorsement was not merely a political gesture but a testament to his belief in the ideals of equity and inclusiveness. He stood firm in his convictions against all odds demonstrating his dedication to the greater good of Nigeria.
The last time I spoke with him, his words left a lasting impression: “Always stand on the path of justice.” That advice remains a guiding principle in my life, and I reaffirm my commitment to upholding it in honour of his memory. In my association with Pa Adebanjo, I come to appreciate Nelson Mandela's words, “I like friends who have independent minds because they tend to make you see problems from all angles.”
As we mourn his departure, let us also celebrate a life well-lived in service to humanity and commit ourselves to upholding the values he so passionately championed.
May his death not be in vain. Instead, let it serve as a renewed call to action for all who believe in justice and fairness. As we extend our condolences to his immediate family and the Afenifere organization, may we find solace in the enduring impact of his remarkable life. -PO
National grid collapse is now a recurring decimal.
I have just read the reports of the collapse of our national grid, just 11 days into the new year.
Most of last year, we faced recurrent national grid collapses. That occurred about 12 times in the year.
The untold setback and hardship it brought on households and businesses was immeasurable.
Further reports showed that Nigeria has borrowed over $3.23 billion in the last four years to fix its electricity problems, and yet the country cannot produce more than about 4,500 megawatts of power for the people.
Instead of making significant progress, our recurrent occurrences of grid collapse have continued to characterize our power sector.
One then wonders where all the funds borrowed for the power sector have gone into.
The lack of sincere commitment by us, the leaders, to the true development of the nation, followed by the widespread corruption eating through every sector of our national existence, has continued to drive retrogression and backwardness in our nation.
This is a new year, and again, I will appeal to the government to make it a fresh start by building on the lessons of yesteryear to now improve every aspect of the nation, including the power sector, without which households and small businesses will continue to struggle under immeasurable economic burdens.
A New Nigeria Remains POssible. -PO

I also noticed that under the sun, there is evil in the courtroom. Yes, even the courts of law are corrupt! [17] I said to myself, “In due season, God will judge everyone, both good and bad, for all their deeds.”
“What I have tried to do is to hold-up a mirror so that you can see your own reflection. If you do not like what you see, breaking the mirror will not change anything; neither will cutting my arm off; killing me will change even less. The truth of man cannot be dissolved in his blood.”

@ruffydfire, @abati1990, @seunokin, please, who will write a similar book as Uncle @DeleFarotimi just did, about what transpired in the Supreme court and all other courts as per the year 2023 elections in Nigeria, especially the presidential, the IREV, and the technical glitches?
I like to commend Governor Ademola Adeleke for stepping in to prevent the inhumane punishment of death by hanging for the theft of a fowl and eggs—an offense for which the individual had already spent 14 years in prison. That sentence alone far exceeded the demands of justice, if the crime warranted such consideration in the first place.
This case underscores the harsh inequalities of the Nigerian legal system. If you dare to speak freely, you are treated as a criminal and silenced. If you embezzle billions of public funds, you are celebrated, even when caught and taken to court. Yet, those pursuing honest, legitimate businesses are burdened by oppressive regulations and treated with suspicion, as though success through integrity is a crime.
It is a system that rewards impunity while punishing integrity—a stark indictment of our need for urgent judicial reform and genuine accountability in governance. -PO
Really? What exactly is this? 😭 🤦🏾♀️
Our Democracy has degraded to this barbaric depth?
The bedrock of our democracy is the rule of law and that means we have to have an independent judiciary, judges who can make decisions independent of the political winds that are blowing.

How did the Nigerian Constitution become so useless that the Nigerian Judiciary @njcNig could allow such violations of the rights of these minors to happen at such egregious levels?
The NBA @NigBarAssoc , where are you?
What exactly is this, our dear Chief Justice of Nigeria? Can we the Citizens of Nigeria count on you for a clean sweep of this version of our Judiciary?
These children must be swiftly released to their parents and guardians, and adequately compensated for the damages done them by the Nigerian State @NGRPresident@NigeriaGov . ✍🏾✍🏾✍🏾
@ZenithBank, it seems your Internet banking issues still persist? Kindly get this resolved so that my hanging transaction would drop as soon as possible.
Thanks.
What happened over the weekend in the name of election in Edo State does not in any way represent the democratic process we chose as a method of electing our political leadership.
Instead, it was a blatant example of 'state capture' and continued gross undermining of our democratic process and values.
Any nation whose leadership recruitment process is so fatally flawed is doomed, and we are all seeing the effect in our country.
I urge those in authority not to allow this situation to stand, or depend on it to remain in power.
As a country, we have invested significantly in IReV and BVAS, and they must be allowed to function and used properly in order to free our electoral process from the massive falsification that has plagued it and worsening.
To the agencies and individuals being used to undermine our democracy simply because they hold positions of authority, please remember that your time in office is not eternal. The society that you are helping to destroy today will eventually take her revenge on you tomorrow.
To the lecturers and others complicit in perpetuating this charade, you must reflect deeply on the roles you are playing in damaging the very foundation of our democracy.
The damage you are causing today will inevitably take revenge on you tomorrow and affect your children in the future.
This kind of action has no place in a true democracy. That is why I have always maintained that today’s politics is not about capturing power, but about saving the country and making it work for everyone, regardless of their background.
I remain committed to building a new and truly democratic Nigeria, which I insist is very POssible. -PO
@DeleMomodu That Bolutife of a guy is a big idiot, a wasted sperms and a loss to his generation. He is a fool at his age and may remain a fool forever.
My commitment remains unwavering: to advocate for the rights and well-being of all Nigerians, ensuring that development initiatives prioritize the needs of the people. Most importantly, I will continue to insist that our national resources be applied with maximum frugality. -PO
My commitment to serving with integrity remains steadfast, and I encourage all Nigerians to unite for a prosperous future. In conclusion, I stand by my record as governor and reject any attempts to distort the narrative for political gain.
