@ubiquitousnewt@Th_Angelopoulos Over centuries?! The coal mining towns have barely existed for two! This is eugenics nonsense. Take a poor kid and send him to Eton and he’ll be a Tory minister in no time.

@tmtulcs @Ramblingsid @Nigel_Farage UK would get absolutely munched without US support. Our military is structurally dependant on US support in a load of ways. France and UK couldn’t beat Russia on their own. Just keep giving Ukraine weapons and watch them degrade and destroy the Russian military.
@Valen10Francois The issue even, more than this particular law, is surely the police and how they enforce them. There are way too many examples of overreach.
@SeanALarabee@alexwickham As a Brit I can tell you this post is very very silly. You are entirely wrong in your view of the UK. Welcome to come and stay and have a look round if you would like to check for yourself.
@supertanskiii All those things are alleviated, to a degree, by removing the two child cap. It’s the quickest, most effective way, to get children out of poverty. You can be a Labour supporter and still think they’ve got this one wrong.
@RugbyPass The amateur game is dying and the professional game doesn’t care. If we really all care about rugby we should focus on the amateur game which eveyone can actually play. Rule changes should support amateur rugby not what the pro game thinks spectators want.
@QprEver Didn’t she go to a friends wedding? That seems pretty reasonable to me. Not a fan of politicians taking the piss but they should be able to do things like that.
