@ProgDirectorate I'm not sure it's just London v everything else, don't think I've ever experienced more culture shock in the UK than visiting gf's family in a small town near Dumfries, really does feel like a Britain A/B situation (which kind of just feels like a rural/urban thing ig).
@StatisticUrban Aside from the majority of Scottish Parliament members, the case isn't for infinite redos but rather that one of the big points in favour of remaining in the UK was EU membership, and as such that referendum can no longer be seen as a valid mandate.
@StatisticUrban Could sentiment be tied to expectations? At least during the GFC there might have been some expectation that politicians were acknowledging and doing something about the situation, and it would improve. I don't think people feel that at all right now.
@ekstasis@besttrousers@LettieriDC Do you know what the difference between the two is? Like would total expenditures include investments where consumer spending might not?
@Potentialmemery@3lfares I mean in general I think Christians tend to identify more as Lebanese/Phoenician whereas Muslims tend to identify more with Arab identity, emphasis on the word tend to.
@RuralLeftie98 Even with the libdem manifesto I just canβt really trust them, and their voter base is kinda nimbyish too (despite the opposite among their activist base), so Labour always (the Green Party sucks)
@dieworkwear I started paying attention to this account after I watched All The Presidentβs Men for the first time, any advice on how to find suits/dress shirts and what to look for cos Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman just look amazing for the whole movie
@ArchysLife Iβm in the US for a bit so here I use Indian as Iβve passed through a couple reservations and it seems to be the preferred term, back home I use Native American to avoid confusion
