@gwenshap I use an off brand of in-ear monitors for zoom (with a blue yeti mic) as they are relatively hidden. Maybe having a different form factor to switch to mid-day would help? https://t.co/dyBWQL1ZnA
Re-listening to “Daemon” by @itsDanielSuarez … So far all of the tech is still relevant. Such a great audiobook! My only regret is that I’d love a version without the “Rave” chapter as I’d like to share it with my 13 year old son. I guess he’ll have to wait a few years.
@hubitat_support just bought a hubitat and trying to create an account. Not getting verification email. Then tried to get support...which requires an account which takes me back to my first point. This is not fun.
BREAKING: This morning Governor DeSantis officially signed into law the removal of Walt Disney’s special tax district.
This move isn't happening because DeSantis thinks it's best for the state, but instead it's best for his political ambitions after Disney decided to speak out against the bigoted laws that he supports, which harm the LGBTQ+ community.
Now instead of Disney taking care of 25,000-acres of land and 175 miles of roadways in Central Florida, it will be up to the state to do that.
What's best for DeSantis isn't what's best for Florida, and what's best for America isn't a Fascist form of government where corporations are penalized for speaking out for what they believe in.
Republicans want "Free Speech" only when it helps their own cause.
Thx for the feedback. This helps me back my original suggestion to change their procedures to make DBA actions more auditable and attributable. I’ve been out of the Oracle game for ~7 years so I was a bit hesitant with my answer.
Oracle peeps: is there a good guide for dba authentication that is auditable. They're ssh-ing as their user, su to oracle, sqlplus / as sysdba which doesn't help much for auditing.
@CaribbeanDba I work at splunk, so part of this is getting OS audit logs into splunk (kind of our bread and butter). They wanted to try to tie those to db audit which you might be able to do via pid, but it seemed fragile and imprecise.
