As Told To Say
May Is The Month of Songs and Sounds of Victory
Globally, the fangs and claws of war would cease for a season
Personal agitations and restlessness shall equally cease
Believers who are drifting away from the Spiritual reality shall find their way back
It is the month of quiet and stealthy achievements
The month when Songs of Praise and Shouts of Victory will cause reverberations of testimonies in every realm
The words you speak this month must be deliberate and consciously seeded with praise, thanksgiving, and wisdom
Remember the Lord is your portion in this life and your Salvation through all the ages
The gathering of conspirators shall disperse, as ambitions would speak louder than loyalty
A month of supernatural ascensions in the place of worship
Visions, prophecies, Words of Wisdom, Words of Knowledge, Supernatural impressions, being moved by the Spirit, realignment, alighment, adoption
Sights and Sounds of the Spirit shall be revealed to all
Unreasonable blessings and gains are the hallmark of this season
Expect Victory without lifting a finger in warfare
Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15).
In 2 Chronicles 20, we read something inspiring that King Jehoshaphat did when Judah was besieged by enemy nations. He and the armies of Judah were completely outnumbered, and in his own words, he admitted Judah’s vulnerability, but not without seeking help from the Lord. He prayed, “O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee” (2 Chronicles 20:12).
Then, verses 14-17 tell us something beautiful; it says, “Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah…came the Spirit of the Lord…And he said, …Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow go ye down against them….Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.”
Those were the Lord’s comforting and assuring words to Jehoshaphat. But notice the next thing Jehoshaphat did, in readiness to confront the invading army: he appointed singers unto the Lord, to praise the beauty of Holiness, chanting, “…Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever”(2 Chronicles 20:21). This was a song of victory.
As they went on singing and marching towards the enemy’s camp, the Bible declares that “…the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten” (2 Chronicles 20:22). When Judah’s army came in from behind the singers, their entire assailants had perished, having destroyed one another. Jehoshaphat, with his army, simply took the spoil without a fight! This was an unusual strategy, and it’s for our learning.
Our songs of worship and praise, in the face of daunting circumstances, spell defeat for the adversary. It doesn’t matter how severe you think the challenge is; praise and worship the Lord from His Word of victory. Regardless of the might of the adversary and adversities, never give up! Sing songs of victory. Hallelujah!
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bands were loosed (Acts 16:25-26).
Acts 16 chronicles how songs of praise from Paul and Silas resulted in a divinely orchestrated earthquake that saw to their release from an obnoxious incarceration. When you praise the Lord from your heart in the beauty of holiness, the result is a divine explosion of glory. Praise and worship the Lord in the face of daunting challenges, and His glory will be manifested in your behalf.
If you desire a miracle today, whether it’s in your job or finances or even trouble at work; or perhaps it has to do with your health or that of a loved one; whatever it is, as an act of faith, set this matter before you, and begin to sing songs of praise in the spirit and also in your understanding again and again, as the spirit gives you utterance. By this act of faith, you’re invoking the power of the mighty God—the most High God—over the matter before you.
You don’t have to say much. Don’t talk about the thing that’s been bothering you; keep your focus on the Lord, as you sing and dance to the Lord, chanting verses of praise to extol His majesty, the power of God will surge through your being. Don’t stop at this time; as the inspiration increases, speak in tongues again and again, until you have a note of victory.
No matter what the case is, such worship will be followed by the miraculous. Rather than feel downcast, helpless or overwhelmed when you face challenges, employ the worship and praise strategy; the power of God’s Spirit will be stirred, and you’ll have a testimony.
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19).
The term “spiritual songs” in the scripture above really doesn’t mean the spirituality of the songs in terms of their content, but that they’re songs of the spirit. It’s the same thing the Apostle Paul was talking about when he said, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also” (1 Corinthians 14:14-15).
Singing with the spirit is singing in other tongues. These songs come out of your spirit, not from your understanding. It’s similar to the way you yield your tongue to the Holy Spirit to pray in tongues, only that this time, you’re singing in other tongues and worshipping the Lord.
Jesus said, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). Worshipping in the spirit is higher. That’s the climax. You may sing and worship the Lord in your understanding, and that’s okay, but ascend higher; sing songs from your spirit; worship and relate from your spirit; it’s a deeper fellowship.
The latter part of our opening scripture says, “…singing and making melody in your heart TO THE LORD.” Your songs of the spirit aren’t to the congregation or to any individual. Those listening to you may not like the way the songs sound, but you’re not singing to them; you’re singing to the Lord! It’s like praying in tongues; it’s not unto men but unto God (1 Corinthians 14:2). It brings about a divine exchange; as your spirit is passing words in the spirit to God, the Holy Ghost is passing information to your spirit.
When you finish such sessions of fellowship with the Spirit, you’re literally on top of the world; no challenges move you, because your spirit has gained the dominion! At that point, you know without a doubt that you’re more than a conqueror, a victor for life!
Learn to function in the spirit, with your spirit, and by the Holy Spirit. Christianity is a life of the spirit, lived from the inside out.

We Have Not So Learned Christ
A couple once came to Nigeria to do IVF
The husband is a pastor with a deliverance ministry, while the wife is a Sunday school teacher in the same ministry
They both live in the USA
I was given a call by the wife's mother, who also lives in the USA.
She begged me to please make room for the couple in my calendar to counsel them and pray with them.
Unfortunately, their hospital sessions were in Abuja, and I was in Lagos
Their mother wouldn't let me rest, so I went to Abuja to see them
Given that they came in from the USA, i expected a certain level of enlightenment in their understanding and perspective of life
They began to talk about household enemies, village enemies, outside enemies, enemies at work, competition enemies, unfriendly friends, enemies that we don not know, enemies of destinies, enemies of fulfilment, enemies of financial progress, enemies of progress, enemies of longevity, enemies of favour, enemies of goodness, enemies of our soul etc
They told horror stories, which were supposed to be from sermons they listened to under the ministration of their general overseer
Somebody's destiny was buried in a river
Somebody's glory was sold
Somebody's glory was exchanged
Somebody's glory was covered etc
As the husband was speaking, the wife was speaking
Their minds had been blinded by evil communication in the name of fear-mongering disguised as sermons.
They are suspicious of everybody
The doctors, the nurses, the hospital itself
They kept talking of evil spirits and territorial powers
I told them they were not Christians.
A Christian's mouth is full of Christ.
What the heart is full of, the mouth proclaims with gusto.
You are not full of Christ if your communication with a fellow believer is all about darkness, evil, the enemy, and demons
Deliverance ministers do more damage to the Christian than good.
They turn them into zombies and wraiths whose consciousness is evil and darkness instead of light.
They know more about witches than ministering spirits
They know more about fallen angels than the angels of light
They know more about curses than blessings
They know more about evil than good
They know more about the kingdom of darkness than the Kingdom of God.
They are always fighting, believing that this is what they require to survive in this world
I am glad to announce that they are wrong!
If they will study the Bible as it is written, they will see that they have been misguided by their preachers.
This is why their pastors write books full of prayer points backed by scriptures lifted out of context for them to read and pray for.
We have not so learned Christ.

Pathways to Misery
The man had been married twice, and on both occasions, the marriage ended because he was proven not to have the ability to father children
This was not proven medically
It was proven through traditional consultations with some clerics
He was of a religion where clerics provide guidance to members of their fellowship in times of great crisis
He asked the clerics what he should do in order to become a father in this life
He was told he would need to marry a young girl, not a virgin, but a young lady of a certain age from a certain family tree
It was a tough deal
His business was struggling, and the little money he had saved over the years had gone into the business of getting a child
He was already in his forties
He went to the family line that was shown to him, and indeed, they had a daughter who fitted into his plans.
The challenge was how to convince her that she should marry him
She was in her early twenties, and she was quite heady in a way
She was also a Christian
He humbled himself and approached the young lady's family
He scraped together every form of goodies he could lay his hands upon just so that she could grant him audience
He told her he loved her and that he wanted to marry her
He promised her heaven and earth
He begged and pleaded until she listened and began to consider his plea
He worked on her mother, told her that her daughter could practise any religion she wanted
He also promised to set her up in business and be her pillar for life
His pleas eventually persuaded the lady, and she got married to him
As he was told, she got pregnant soon after their wedding
She even delivered a set of triplets
However, the wife noticed that his attention shifted drastically towards the children after they were born
All the promises he made went unfulfilled
The more he prospered, the more she felt he just married her for the sake of having children rather than for the sake of truly loving her
She called him and tried to discuss her pains with him, but he didn't hear her
She noticed that rather than talk to her, he would talk to her mother (They were very close in age and communicated at almost the same frequency), her mother then tried to explain his position or thoughts to her
Her husband felt she was too heady and insubmissive
She felt he was a liar and a user who got what he wanted out of the marriage and stopped caring about her and her well-being.
She said he wanted to reduce her to a slave who would be catering to his needs as well as those of the children, while her own dreams of becoming something in life would be neglected until they die.
She finished her degree and master's under his roof, despite all his protestations, and she also worked and started a business
Her husband insisted that as long as she was providing for her and the children, she should not complain about anything
He forgot she was a young bride, and she also needed attention
All his attention was devoted to his work and the welfare of the children; whatever was left focused on her shortcomings.
They fought a lot, and eventually she left the marriage.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
She was married to a medical doctor in Ibadan. The man was previously married with two children, but he lost his wife to a ghastly motor accident.
She was a beautician and a hairdresser with her own flourishing business located in Bodija Estate.
He saw her one day as she was crossing the road to her business center, and he parked his car
He followed her, and they began to talk
She got married to him six months later
He was true to his word to her in every way
She got married into wealth, and the full measure of the pampering abilities her husband's wealth could offer her
She travelled all over the world with him, and he never gave her a moment of regret for coming into her life
However, despite everything she tried, she couldn't get pregnant
Medical and spiritual intervention failed for fifteen years
Her husband was not bothered (She felt this was because he had two children from his previous marriage)
She would cry every month at the sight of her period, and her husband would console her in his own way
She felt unfulfilled as a woman
She really wanted to have her own children
The closer she got to age forty, the more desperate she got
Eventually, she met a diviner who said, "You are living in a palace, enjoying royal treatment and a full dose of pampering, but as long as you live that life, you will never be a mother.
Your child is in the refuse dump, and you must descend into this dump before you can ever become a mother."
She asked the diviner what "refuse dump meant, and she was told it was a place of shame and reproach."
A week later, she started an extramarital affair with a man who would usually come to her shop with different kinds of women he was having sexual relationships with
A very well-known womaniser who wears his sexual indiscipline like a badge of honour (That was the refuse dump)
She was the one who sought him out, and she started splashing money on him
Within a month, she was pregnant
She moved out of the palace into his two-bedroom apartment
He thought she had some money stashed away, but she didn't
All the cars and the free money she used to entertain and keep the womaniser's attention were left in the palace
The womanizer realised she wasn't independently rich, and he began to treat her like a nuisance
Sometimes he would beat her up mercilessly, especially when she dared to ask him where he was coming from or for the upkeep of their baby.
She said she just wanted to become a mother, and she was willing to upend her life in order to achieve that.
These two living and breathing people have now been fully restored by the Holy Spirit to their rightful positions in life.
The woman who married an unloving husband has now reconciled with him and his children
The Lord has restored the marriage, and her destiny has been sorted out in a great way.
The other lady who left a palace for a refuse dump has left the refuse dump.
Her shops, which closed down due to a lack of funds, were reopened
She stepped into business in a big way and now owns chains of businesses all over Nigeria
The turnaround took two years, but it was done by the Spirit of Jesus.
Glory be to God.
PS: The two examples above are realities of those who consult mediums, clerics, spiritualists, and other demonic sources when looking for a solution to their challenge.
The blessings of God make one rich and add no sorrow
When you see sorrow hanging around a supposed blessing, know that the source of such a blessing is not pure.
Those who find themselves in these kinds of situations can still come to God in the place of prayer and Spirit-led counsel so that their crooked paths might be made straight
Decisions made through demonic counsel would often place one in an unfavourable alternate reality.
God is an expert at flipping people out of such realities into their rightful positions in life
David, Joseph, Moses, Gideon, Mary, Elizabeth were all great examples of this divine realignment by the Spirit of God.
We are coming to Lagos on Friday, 19th December, to cause some serious realignments by the Spirit of Jesus.
Today we will be in Lagos for our carol service
Apart from the usual goodies that we share
We will also minister to people by the Spirit of God
This is to formally invite you!
I have shared this story before and i will share it again.
I had a friend who was born and raised in Iwo, Osun State
We met in the boarding house as students of Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo
We became friends
This friend would invite me to his father's house in Iwo for Itunu Awe and Ileya Festivals
I in turn would have him at our house for Christmas and Easter
His father was like a father to me and my father was like a father to him.
One time we were in Iwo, i was in SS2 and we were on long vacation
I followed him to the mosque and started learning how to pray the muslim way
Whenever he was at my house too, he attends our morning devotions and even sometimes our church on Sundays
On this day, we were coming from the mosque and we walked past Olode Cinema.
A church was having a prayer meeting in the cinema and they had mostly young ladies and their pastor praying in the hall.
Suddenly, one of the other guys from the mosque, Kamaru, said "I feel like going to that church, killing the pastor and raping all those girls"
All the guys, including my friend said "Yes, this is a good idea. What do we need for weapons"
My heart began to beat irregularly with fear.
They had forgotten that i was a christian
They began to plan where each person will stand and how they would attack the christians
I just kept lraying silently that they wouldnt remember that i am not one of them
We all went to my friend's father's house to get sticks, cutlasses and whatever else we could lay our hands on.
When we got there, i pivked my travel bag and said i have to return home because my mother just called me and said there was an emergency.
My friend was shocked.
What emergency?
How?
What can i do?
I said "Nothing"
The development changed their focus and they saw me off to the motor park.
That was the last time i ever visited or stayed with him.
He is in Belgium now and he often would call me (He still did so yesterday) but i never returned his call or pick his call since that time.
I just couldn't imagine being friends with such a person.
There is something about that religion that corrupts those who subscribe to it.
Pssbc school 27 is starting tomorrow.
Registration will close in a few hours
If you desire to join the school and grow in the mastery of life through the word and the leading of the Holy Spirit, it is a must to attend.
This is the final boarding call

Global politics And The American Agenda
The moment Nigeria started recording a favourable trade balance, the US government started pushing a narrative regarding Christians getting killed and threatened sanctions against the government.
Sanctions that will most likely lead to banning the world from buying Nigeria's oil.
They didn't threathen this during the Buhari years or the GEJ years, they suddenly started singing this song last week.
If felt like complaining of birth bangs when your baby is already 5 years old
While I am not saying Nigeria does not have serious religious conflicts, I am also aware that there are communal clashes and deep economic conflicts
The United States of America is however nobody's friend or big daddy. For all the help they offered Ukraine, they placed a heavy demand on them for their rare earth minerals.
When i saw Ted Cruz and others suddenly reading scripts with a focus on Nigeria, I began to laugh.
If America is interested in protecting Nigerian Christians, they should talk about it and offer the churches free money to rebuild and move out of IDP camps
They shouldn't threaten economic sanctions against a nation whose painful reforms are just beginning to yield some results.
I understand that America wants to remain the superpower who dictates policy and lifestyle to every other nation.
They should however do this with fairness and not with the aim of deliberately sabotaging our nation for their economic benefit.
Nigeria does not need any foreign nation to prop her up, foreign nations should however desist from trying to sabotage her.
The damage done to Nigeria by the USA through USAID during the Boko Haram years was recently revealed in the US Congress for the world to hear.
The Nigerian security agencies should also sit up and stem the dangerous flow of killings motivated by either politics or communal clashes which are being dressed in the toga of religious violence.
You ever brought a matter to the Holy Spirit and His response is basically ‘I heard you the first time?’
I recall being at a religious program over a decade ago where the ushers came at me for not praying ‘properly’. As far as they were concerned, I was not shouting loud enough to get God’s attention.
While this was over a decade ago, I was never one to resort to rhetorics and theatrics under the guise of praying ‘effectively’ as I considered such gimmicks anti-scriptural
Scripture tells us repeatedly that God is neither blind nor deaf. So where did all these sects get their ideology from? The only similarities I see are in pagan practices where it was considered normal to shout, chant, and bleed themselves until they got into an euphoric state they deemed supernatural
Absolutely no one in the scriptures prayed like that except the prophets of Baal and we see how Elijah made mockery of them. Now instead of praying like Elijah did, believers opt to replicate the acts of the prophets of Baal
Scripture says quite clearly:
Psalm 94:9 - Does he who fashioned the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see?
Isaiah 59:1 - Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
For decades, I’ve listened to and heard many talk about the need to push and press with groanings and shouts and chants and whatever else fits this bill. It’s all balderdash
Funny that it isn’t new. It’s apparent that the one who is distant from God would feel the need to dramatize hoping to catch his attention. Further proving that they are clueless where God is concerned
Even Jesus had to warn against it. The Israelites had the Torah (the laws) but lacked a relationship with God. Hence they had adopted the pagan behavior of performative prayer
Matthew 6:7-8 - And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. ⁸Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
So all that posture to tarry and words to say or say it in your native language etc, is all ignorant nonsense. Of course, it you’d bothered to pay attention to your scriptures, you’ll know this but you keep looking for who or what to place between you and God instead of accepting His stance that you became His child the day you became born again. Born into His family, born into His fold
Don’t be a recalcitrant prodigal child who refuses all that the Father has to offer. Be the one who fully embraces son ship and intentionally acts like one
Happy Wednesday
I affirm today that the Lord is exalted and glorified in me. His righteousness is revealed in and through my life! The Word has increased my faith—I walk in prevailing, unstoppable faith. Nothing is impossible to me, and no height of victory, success, or progress is out of reach,
1997
SS 3 Students in my hostel were writing WAEC
The main subjects they were scared of were English and Mathematics
A day to the mathematics examination, rumors started flying around that some of the external students had paid for and gotten expos for the paper and were sharing it to those who would sneak them into the examination hall the next day
I was in SS 2 at the time and I was a brilliant student
I made the mistake of saying “It is a lie, you guys will spend the night chasing shadows and this will only contribute to your inability to concentrate during the examination tomorrow which may cost you some marks.
Study and sleep and then do your best during the exam tomorrow)
All the seniors looked at me as if I had run mad
Insults were hurled at me
“Shut up, is everybody like you?”
“If you don’t have anything to concentrate upon during exam but the ceiling or the wall, what then is the point of sleeping? One replied and everybody laughed
“Go and sleep, Mr bookworm”
That was how most of them sneaked out of the hostel
They had no clue where the expo was but to them they are putting in effort to pass the exam by going to look for it
Someone will say “Theexpo is at Durbar”
They will rush to Durbar, when they get there, they will be told it is at Owode, then they will rush to Owode
Another person will say it is at Ladigbolu, and they will run to Ladigbolu only to hear it is at SPED.
(These locations are one hour or thirty minutes walk apart and this was in the middle of the night, yet they braved the darkness and its evil to search and look for something that did not exist)
They did this till the wee hours of the morning before sneaking back to the hostel empty handed.
I watched them hang their heads in shame as they began to dress up before heading to the examination hall.
I should have read the room but well, I liked trouble a little
So I said “Hope you guys were able to sell all the goods you went to sell in the middle of the night?
Hope the money you made will contribute to your success in life?”
They came for me
I had to jump out of the window before they would turn me to pasta
I ran for my life.
They came back from the examination hall with failure written all over their faces
Some of them didn’t even know enough to attempt one out of all the theories.
The objective was a gambler’s dream so they just gambled it away.
The day for the English examination was a week later, and they repeated the same process
It still baffles me till today
And yes they all failed.
After they failed they began to blame WAEC…
I was thinking of DANGOTE and all his successful moves and how some Nigerians are behaving like those my seniors.
If I talk now, they will want to turn me to pasta, as if I was the one that covered their eyes from reading the handwriting on the wall
Let me go and prepare my sermon, dem don talk say make I no Dey put my mouth for issues outside of pulpit or dem go drag me.
Dear seniors, don’t drag me o.

The odd Christian
Yesterday I met an oddity, one who’s been a Christian for years but only just found out that everything Job lost was restored and more
Then I hear that upon this ‘discovery’, the information was gladly shared with the person’s circle of friends who promptly shut it down as untrue with statements like ‘which bible did you get that one from?’
The entirety of this interaction had me scratching my head as these are all literate adults, in their 40s-50s, who have been Christians for at least 2 decades
How have you gone 2 decades as a Christian without reading through the Bible - the central piece of your faith - even once?
Yet these are individuals who at every interaction consistently spout what this pastor and that minister and that apostle taught somewhere or recently shared on YT
In retrospect, this puts into perspective the nature of conversations the person is always having. Despite attending the same Bible school, the person still holds on to the belief system of the unenlightened - failing to comprehend the nature of God and the nature of Christ in us
So when we say believers should know scriptures for themselves, it is no joke. You already have the core block of knowledge at your fingertips, it is pure folly to outsource the simplest things you can do for yourself to others.
Nothing ought to be outsourced really and while I do agree that levels of understanding can differ, some things are too basic to consider any excuses - like reading the Bible for yourself
Pain and effort has been put in by thousands over the centuries to make the Bible easily accessible today in print and digital format. The very least we can do is open and read for ourselves
So when we hear people shout ‘a Christian must have a (human) teacher…’ as a requirement in their faith, we retort: Scripture is open to all, and the Holy Spirit is your guide to all truth.
One who seeks to know God through a proxy can never have a proper relationship with God. This was the behavior of the Israelites who when God chose to reveal Himself to them, declined while collectively cowering behind Moses.
God has always yearned for a direct and intimate walk with the individual. This is key to the collective. Don’t be unwise and don’t let anyone emotionally blackmail you into being a spineless believer chained to human proxies
PS: Now I know a teacher whose mission is teaching believers to stand on their own feet while showing them through practical teachings the unmatched power of a personal walk with God.
So if this ignites your soul, join @GbengaWemimo’s Bible School. Here’s your invite. It’s time to abandon the rubble and step unto solid ground.

See you on the mountain top as you begin to learn and do Christ for yourself and become the light unto others
The Eagle And The Sight
As I saw it.
I saw a young man, in his twenties and a forty-two year old walking down the street.
They were talking real estate
The young man sounded like an agent
The forty-two year old is someone I know, but had never met physically before even though we had spoken on the phone once or twice
I recognized him immediately
He was looking for a house to buy in a prime estate and the younger man was taking him around to check out properties
It was around noon
They got to a house
the forty two year old said "I know the owners of this house, they were quite rich in the 2000s, what happened to them?"
The young man said "Nigeria happened to them"
The forty-two-year-old said, "No, they left Nigeria for their own reasons. They are not the kind of family that anything could shake out of Nigeria under any circumstances."
He pointed to the "Not For Sale" on the property and said, "If they were in financial distress, why didn't say put the house up for sale? Don't be quick to assume that everyone who travelled out of Nigeria did so due to any form of distress."
They moved on and found another property, a duplex.
The stairs were a bit worn, and the house would need some work, but it was for sale, and the forty-two-year-old liked it.
They walked into the compound, inspecting the building while they exchanged comments on the repair works that would have to be done and the possible cost as against the cost of the house and so on.
While they were talking, two men walked into the compound looking for the agent
As soon as the agent sighted them, he took off
They chased him
He scaled the fence and ran to the street
His assailants caught up with him and shot him dead
The forty-two-year-old watched the drama with a bit of confusion, he didn't know what was going on and was just standing there, stupefied by the sudden event.
Suddenly, the armed killers turned around and started running towards him
The forty-two-year-old watched the drama with a bit of confusion; he didn't know what was going on and was just standing there, stupefied by the sudden event.
It dawned on him that they were coming to kill him
He tried to run but it was too late
He was shot in the back several times
"The last thing in his mind as he fell was "God, this cannot be the end of my story"
I heard it clearly.
I woke up and checked the time
It was 3.00 AM Nigerian time.
I picked up my phone and called the man
I told him what I saw and asked him to disregard any appointment with any sales agent of any kind for some time regardless of whether it was real estate or car or anything else.
He didn't say much.
He listened, and when I was done, he said, "Thank you, sir."
What Happened.
The Forty-Two-Year-Old had worked in the United States for ten years and saved up every penny he could towards buying into the oil and gas business in Nigeria.
When he realised he had saved enough, he reached out to some people in Nigeria looking to sell their existing oil business infrastructure, like petrol stations, tankers, tank farms, etc
He knew a lot of folks are looking to sell because of the changes in the oil and gas market in recent days
He knew a lot of folks were looking to sell because of the changes in the oil and gas market in recent days.
He got three contacts and initiated conversations with them until he narrowed it down to only one.
He did his research and called some friends he had been talking with on the issues of investment.
They had several meetings and raised the funds needed to buy the business he found in Nigeria
He booked his flight and set up the appointments
He arrived in Nigeria on Friday, slept at a hotel in Lagos.
The agent who was to connect him to the business owners called him several times on Friday, seeking to have a sit-down with him before the meeting to discuss strategies, but he knew the man was just looking to get some money off him and he was not in the mood to pay anyone a dime until his deal was done.
His appointment was for Monday morning
I called him on Sunday evening.
He decided not to attend the meeting as planned after the call and sent a message to the agent and the business owners that he would like to reschedule.
The agent got angry and said a lot of nasty words to him.
He spent Monday morning in his hotel room, praying along with us on Dominion Prayer.
At 4 pm, he got a call from the business owners.
They wanted to know if he was fine and when they could have the meeting
He told them he would reach out to the agent and get back to them
They told him the agent was killed earlier that day with another man at the site of one of their properties.
What happened?
The agent was a cultist
He had been expelled from the university due to his known affiliation with cultism
He went into real estate as a means of earning a living and got juicy tips due to his father's influence.
His father is a high-ranking police officer whose office conducted background checks on possible business-affiliated transactions
When two parties reach out trying to find out if a business is authentic and the possible risks involved, the cases land on his father's table.
His father then tells him of the possible businesses, and this leads to him reaching out to the parties to broker deals where he earns a healthy commission.
When he called to cancel the Monday morning meeting, the agent reached out to the business owners and told them his client was an unserious person, but he had someone else who was interested in the business who was ready to inspect the properties.
They gave him permission to take this new client to the properties.
The next thing they heard was that the two of them had been shot dead
The agent was killed on the street leading to their main office block, while the other party was killed on their property.
The business owners said they called him just to be sure he was not the affected party.
They said their preliminary investigation points to the cultist background of the agent and retaliatory attacks based on some of his antics while in school.
The forty-two-year-old was shocked to the bone.
He missed a date with death by the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit.
PS: The one who watches over us neither slumbers nor sleeps
He is keeping us in all our ways, lest we dash our feet against a stone
This happened In the month of June 2025.
Thank you, Holy Spirit
Thank you, The River that never runs dry
I see through the crystal clear sea before your throne
I see as you open the eyes of my understanding to see
I know as you shed the light of your presence upon my heart
This Eagle is flying and mastering the realm of the Spirit with precision
You are my glory and the lifter up of my head
