The newest addition to Toronto Pearson’s firefighting arsenal has arrived. 🚒
These state-of-the-art Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) trucks are officially in service at Canada’s busiest airport. The ARFF trucks are critical tools the airport uses to respond to emergencies of all types. 🧯
These trucks are equipped with a 12,000 litre water tank, which can drain in under 2 minutes, a tank that can hold 1,500 litres of foam, and can reach a top speed of 120 km/h. 💦
These fire trucks can also be operated by a single firefighter. Here’s a snippet of the truck in action. Check back later this week where we will have more footage of these trucks in action.
This #PeopleofPearson is proudly training the next generation of firefighters at Toronto Pearson. Jade has taken great strides in a short time in her firefighting journey, and we thank her for everything she does every day. Read Jade’s story: https://t.co/nSb65vvfYU

Thank you Red 6 GTAA Airport @TorontoPearson@PearsonFire4382 for your help today at our incident on the 410. It's definitely not everyday we get to see these amazing vehicles in service outside of the Airport grounds but we are extremely grateful to have as additional resources.
Proud of our @BramptonFireES@BPFFA1068 members participating in the Trench Rescue Technician Instructor training this week taking place at FESTI. All members working extremely hard this week gaining the knowledge and experience to bring back to their respective platoons.
While the vehicles have gone through a makeover and the tech has improved, @PearsonFire4382’s commitment to the safety of our passengers and employees has remained constant. Thank you for always keeping us and our passengers safe!
