@BSTHydePark signage to VIP Hydeaway is awful. Worse is the stewarding. We stood (with others) for over an hour in the wrong queue having been told by 2 of them we were in the right place. Eventually found the right one - got in 2 hours after arriving. Not acceptable, 💯 not VIP.

Now in London and thought we’d catch @thamesclippers Uber boat from Embankment to Greenwich. Over 1 hour waiting (boats were all full). Finally get on a boat and it’s rammed - got off at the next stop & now having a cold beer. Definitely not for tourists (the boat, not the beer).

@eventsafety2020 @LNER We had 2 cancelled & then the train we got on was cancelled at Peterborough due to a broken down train before Kings Cross, so had to switch to Thameslink (St Pancras), so don’t think that’ll help. It’s taken 31/2 hours & not comfortable, but still faster than driving? Good luck.

@LNER In fairness, the train staff were excellent & doing their best in difficult circumstances. Definitely not helped by the misinformation at Doncaster; a more honest appraisal of the situation there would have helped - not suggesting we’d get a seat when there was clearly no chance.

@LNER Disregard the last post - they’ve just cancelled the train and kicked us out at Peterborough. I think you need to take a serious look at your advertising campaign to more closely reflect reality of 2026 train travel - just in case it’s hot again.

@LNER Appreciate the reply & understand the intent to help more passengers but the train is full - they’ve just announced the same on the platform at Peterborough. I understand the operational difficulties caused by the weather but there appears to be no contingency plan.

If we’d been given the right info. by @LNER then we’d have got a later train. No seats, no food, can’t get drinks through because the aisles are full. I get the issues/extreme heat, but the info. and organisation is appalling - at a time when it needed to be “First Class” (2/2)

Stood in first class from Doncaster to London on @LNER having been told by ticket staff in Doncaster that reserved seating was cancelled on the train and we’d get a seat. We would have, if indeed reserved seating had been cancelled (appreciate that wouldn’t help others). (1/2)
