polygon is processing more transactions than ethereum (and nobody's talking about it)
look, everyone's obsessing over arbitrum and base right now. meanwhile polygon is just sitting there processing 3x more transactions than ethereum itself.
i've been using polygon for two years. the difference is really clear.
ethereum feels broken when you go back
try swapping on uniswap v2 on ethereum after using polygon for a month. you'll pay $30 in gas and wait 5 minutes for confirmation. it's painful.
on polygon? same swap costs $0.002. confirms in seconds.for me that is the lowest gas, i rem anytime i want to make use of a cex to send eth i make use of polygon chain for this same reason.
this isn't some theoretical scaling debate anymore. real people are voting with their wallets.
the numbers don't lie
polygon processes 3+ million daily transactions. ethereum does maybe 1.2 million on a good day.
but here's what's wild - most crypto twitter still talks about polygon like it's some experiment.
meanwhile:
• uniswap v3 has more volume on polygon some days
• opensea moved their entire rewards program there
• meta chose polygon for instagram nfts
the part nobody talks about
@0xPolygon real moat isn't speed or fees. it's that everything just works.
arbitrum has better tech on paper. optimism has prettier marketing. but polygon has something else - boring reliability.
i've never had a transaction fail on polygon. can't say that about other layer 2s.
where they're probably wrong
polygon is betting big on zero-knowledge tech with zkevm. honestly might be overthinking it.
their current proof-of-stake chain works fine. users care about cheap transactions, not whether the math is pure enough for ethereum maximalists.
but maybe that's why they're winning. they're building for users, not twitter debates.
➜ polygon isn't flashy. it just works. sometimes that's enough to win.
The true story of reliable blockchain infra:
📡 @dRPCorg maintained 100% RPC uptime even when the Polygon PoS network halted.
Here’s what happened yesterday — and why decentralisation matters more than ever 👇
@0xngmi All the appchains are white labelled solution of some core tech. If you combine it into one, then I feel for chains also it should follow similar practice.
If what Sisyphus says is true (which I believe it is), this is why people hate VCs and founders.
1) You sold your locked tokens to some VCs months ago when the price was much higher.
2) You waited to make the PR of the raise until a few days before the unlock to make people think that the raise happened a short time ago.
3) You trick people into thinking that VCs who bought in this OTC are super bullish at these prices (probably not, because they bought when modular sentiment was much higher).
4) People ape because of this super bullish news, and then VCs and the team dump on them in october.
TIA deserves to go to zero.
This is why people hate VCs.
Next time, if you have to make OTC sales because of your runway, at least make a public disclosure of all the terms of that deal.
It’s interesting seeing how often real things get glossed over in crypto when they don’t fit the narrative
Prediction markets + Trump NFTs are the talk of CT today again, but never see discussion that they’re both on Polygon
Imagine the manlets if they were on Solana
Number doesn't go up, chain dead?
- @0xPolygon ranks 1st for having more than 19.6 million contracts deployed in the last 180 days. Devs seem to very active!
- Polygon recorded 3.1 million active users last week, nearly a million more than Ethereum
