It is a weekend of mixed emotions for us, as we mourn the sudden and painful passing of our APC South-West Zonal Woman Leader, Hon. (Chief) Mrs. Yetunde Shakirat Adesanya.

She was a passionate champion for women, a dedicated sister in progress, and a shining light in our party. Her departure leaves a profound void, but her impactful legacy will never be forgotten. May Almighty God grant her family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and grant her peaceful soul eternal rest.

To the wonderful people of Kosofe, thank you for your continued steadfastness and strength. In moments like this, let us remain comforted, deeply united, and peaceful.

It was a profound honor to stand with the family of the late Senator Adebayo Osinowo affectionately and enduringly remembered as “Pepperito” as they celebrated this year’s Ojude Oba festival in Ogun State.

Joining the matriarch of the Osinowo family, Alhaja Mariam Osinowo, amidst the vibrant color and grandeur of Ijebu Ode, is an experience that always carries deep emotional and sacred significance for me. Beyond the grandeur of it all, this festival offers a cherished, bittersweet moment to pause and honor the towering legacy of a leader who meant so much to so many.

Throughout his lifetime, and consistently in the years since his transition, maintaining this presence has been a duty of pure love and unyielding loyalty. Over the years, my relationship with the wonderful Osinowo family has gracefully transcended the realm of politics. They have truly become my own family, an integral, everyday part of my life and journey.

Spending today in the comforting company of his loved ones and core stakeholders, sharing in deep reflection and nostalgic remembrance amidst the festivities, fills my heart with gratitude. I am profoundly thankful for the unbroken bond of trust, warmth, and familial love that unites us across all seasons.

May the remarkable legacy of Senator Bayo “Pepperito” Osinowo continue to guide and inspire our steps, and may the blessings of this season bring lasting peace and progress to our people. Ultimately, life reminds us that true greatness is not measured by the titles we hold, but by the lives we uplift along the way.
