A fab day in London yesterday celebrating @StJohnINTL#StJohnsDay - even managed to snap a few quick Ambulance @SJAOperations team photos (this isn’t all of us!)
Across the Party in Hurst St and over at the stages at Smithfield we have a number of @stjohnambulance first aid teams, supported by cycle responders, emergency ambulance crews and health care professional response teams.
Say hello to Foxtrot1 here at #BirminghamPride comprised entirely of @sjawmryouth cadet first aiders.
Trained to the exact same standard as our adult operational first aiders our young people are an integral part of @stjohnambulanceon events across the country.
@tom_s_10 & I are having a fantastic time catching up with all of the @stjohnambulance teams based around the @BirminghamPride site.
We've spoken to some amazing foot teams and ambulance crews who are having a great time at the event.
So pleased to see this across the line - we're growing our @SJAOperations team - this time with #Paramedics on a casual basis to begin with. Come and see the huge transformation in our Ambulance Operations since 2019! Vacancies across England! https://t.co/Hj7CV6X7kN
Whilst providing CPR today as a @MARSmedicalteam responder with @OFFICIALWMAS we were advised that someone had stopped and dumped screws under the tyres of the ambulance!! it’s not just the lives of the patient and us you put at risk but the lives of so many others!!
In March, Sam, Steven, Thomas Alex and Thomas were alerted to a man who was sat on the wrong side of a barrier of a multi storey car park. Eventually, they took the difficult decision to pull the man back and keep him safe until police arrived.
Fabulous to see so many @stjohnambulance folk being honoured alongside other lifesaving volunteers from across the region at @OFFICIALWMAS Excellence in the Community Awards this evening.
Highly honoured to be part of the @OFFICIALWMAS excellence in the community awards where lots of @stjohnambulance volunteers across the west midlands region were given awards @hblondon @CraigAHarman @stjacoo
So proud of both Jade and @tom_s_10 for the amazing support that have provided Community First Response! They are so supportive hard working and absolute legends! #TrueHeroes@SJASSW@SJA_CR_WM
A Christmas Lights Switch On should be a happy event, but things took a turn for the worse last year when a man was stabbed in Burton. Alex, Niall, Steve, Laura and Amy worked hard to stabilise the patient until they could hand over to the ambulance crew. Congratulations
The Wolverhampton Nighttime Economy is supported by a team from @stjohnambulance who provide a safe place for those out enjoying themselves . Between April and July they helped 70 people. Ki, Jack and Matthew do a fantastic job
Brad and Lisa were at a @stjohnambulance meeting in Oswestry when they were assigned as CFRs to a paediatric cardiac arrest. They began basic life support until the ambulance arrived shortly after. They continued to assist the crew and gave the child the best chance of survival.
