@Anc_Aesthetics There entire trade group regional gatherings to share tactics, network, intrastate, and plan for bringing in new visa holders. Oh yes, and plan prices. It’s a reason gas prices are sticky. @SecScottBessent
@MattWalshBlog Except, on a somewhat different level of consequence (ie not murder), this exact reasoning on most juries across the entire country. And state/local courts are more to this extreme than federal courts.
@DaveShapi Don’t leave out the replacement or entire redesign of the legal and malpractice/liability insurance elements of the industry. It is true there are some bad actors out there that need to be caught and impacted, but the current system is absurd and creates bad decisions.
@signulll In addition to the already overwhelmed cadence of hu6spot on steroids levels of spam. It is true, there have been some exceptional breakthroughs, but the scaling of nuisance is going to break already fragile business & consumer interexistences.
@ChrisWillx Defund and deplatform who self proclaim “modern wisdom”, but basically sh!t posting other’s research in a macro sense for nothing more than putting up a menacing profile pic?
@johnarnold Fix those categories to their relative slope pre 2006 and it would be astounding how much inflation would drop and federal spend would drop across even entitlements. Note these, plus add the regulatory impacts on energy, are all government as a major driver of negative impacts.
@johnarnold Where the analysis, which is oft repeated periodically, completely misses the mark is the linkage to inflation by subcategory breakdown. The categories that are massively overinflated are: health/medicine, education, and somewhat housing that massively outpace all others.
@TheDebriefing17 Left out one key element of the entire discussion, 30%+ of the debt is held by the federal government entities. Another 13+ held by participants in the federal finance and “safe assets” coupons system with longer duration and contra to market patterns.
@turnipdodger And, I believe, tax revenues on a dollar for dollar basis are higher than they’ve ever been. Simply put, huge revenues flowing to non returning basis such as able bodied people paid to do nothing, feed their existence, money flowing out of country, etc, etc. Horrific.
@dirtcheapbanks Run two numbers: PEG and Total Equity to Total Assets. One tells growth of earnings and value corresponding to 1 being perfect valuation, second provides view of equity positioning against capital. This was key metric for Santander acquisition of Webster, btw.
@JeremyTate41 Should have its tax free status removed, taxed retroactively, sued for monopolistic behavior, disbanded, and all the families refunded moneys. It’s a cartel.
@_The_Prophet__ Similarly to the pricing power of instant transparency at scale, that is inherently anticompetitive, the visa mechanisms have severely constrained the invisible hand that feeds Shiller’s “animal spirits”.
@RahmEmanuel So you support defunding the Dept of Education, breaking the Teacher’s unions, and disrupting the Education Services monopolies (eg placement, testing, aid, debt, accreditation, etc)?
