I feel having a standard bot whose purpose it is to organise all the others would be helpful as it's not immediately obvious you can do that. Probably called something super simple like manager or quarterback.
Also being able to organise the bots into lists, I use bots for different projects and would find that helpful (I.e not just groups for agents but being able to organise the the left sidebar list of bots under subheadings as a change view option perhaps)
N.b All suggestions possibly just evidence of my own shortcomings
@benjitaylor Plz can you make the bookmark > add to folder button larger. I use it loads and often have to fiddle back and forth to save. Also a search bar at the top of the bookmark folders would be handy. I have tons and forget their names sometimes. Thx!
@OswaldPer4mance Happy to have a well mannered and intentioned debate about this.
I don't have the information at my disposal, so can you clarify how much the total annual salary expenditure would be for Tesco in the scenario you described above I.e CEO on £1m, lowest paid employee £100k?
You're right in principle, but ignore the most likely practical outcomes.
1. Companies are not going to hugely increase baseline pay to bring in it in line 10:1 with executive pay I.e your 300m vs 30m point is moot.
2. In the event that did happen, which it won't, you seem to think companies can just find the additional money for that out of nowhere. Unclear why.
3. A blanket policy of this type feels typical of how unserious the greens are. This might work at a hedge fund. For a company like Tesco with 1000 employees, it's literally nonsensical.
4. You are right that working people are getting shafted. I don't think many have a problem with the analysis proposed by the Greens. The issue is they're not actually serious about solutions, nor do they accept the task as difficult and complicated, and signal an understanding that you have to make ideological concessions en route to meaningful progress.
That @demishassabis decided to remain in the UK rather than move to the US was the single most important event in the UK's future. An entire ecosystem is crystallizing around him.
