This is the most important story of the day.
A Tulsi aide ordered a senior analyst to redo an assessment of the relationship between Venezuela’s government and a gang after intelligence findings undercut the WH justification for deporting migrants.

Lindsey. This was you just two weeks ago in Munich.
🇺🇸🇺🇦 "You are the ally I've waited for my whole life," – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham told Zelensky.
Speaking on a panel with the Ukrainian president, Graham praised Ukraine for using American weapons to "kick Russia’s ass."
"No American has died defending Ukraine. You took our weapons and made them count. I’m so proud to have an ally like you… Trump will find a way to end this war—by arming this guy to the teeth," he said.
They say a week is a long time in politics but did you really change your mind about Zelenskyy just two weeks after heaping praise on him two weeks ago or are you just bowing at the alter of Trump?
So, by the end of 2024, Russia (the world's second-largest army with the third-largest military budget)
- failed to capture Donetsk Oblast after over 30 months of fighting;
- failed to advance beyond a few kilometers in the border zone during its grand offensive on Kharkiv.
- suffered a complete collapse in Syria;
- lost control of part of Kursk Oblast to Ukrainian forces and has been unable to retake it (even after drawing North Korea into the war);
- failed to plunge Ukraine into cold and darkness after three years of missile attacks and bombings;
- captured about 2,800 km² of Ukrainian territory after a year of hostilities (which is slightly larger than the area of Luxembourg);
- failed to stop Ukrainian strikes on airfields, oil depots, and ammunition warehouses;
- is about to enter the fourth year of its blitzkrieg to take Kyiv in three days, with 600,000 killed and wounded, and the first signs that its economy cannot sustain the immense military expenditures, threatening stagflation;
The battle of Ukraine continues.

Bloomberg: "Critics say such an approach is more akin to spinning a roulette wheel at a casino than a sound investment strategy, and excessive speculation has regularly magnified volatility and led to frequent boom-bust cycles."

@michaelxpettis Totally agree. A sophisticated investor in China would be one best able to read the regulatory tea leaves — still sophisticated, just not as we know it
The GB News geniuses put their "Should Britain rejoin the EU?" poll behind a paywall.
(Nothing says "representative sample" like only asking the people willing to pay for GB News.)
Fortunately, there are ways around it. Click the link below...

Lankford: I had a popular commentator that told me flat out, if you try to move a bill that solves the border crisis during this presidential year, I will do whatever I can to destroy you. Because I do not want you to solve this during the presidential election.
2018: @IronMaiden 's Bruce Dickinson, "I voted for Brexit.. I'm relaxed about it.. There's a lot of nonsense and scare stories being made up.. Brexit will enable us to be more flexible.. Brexit opens our borders"
2024: Bruce Dickinson, "We're sitting here. We can't do anything. All this guff about not being able to play in Europe, and the Europeans not being able to play over here, and the work permits, and all the rest of the rubbish, come on!"
2mins of Hashi Mohamed absolutely smashing the Conservatives Rwanda policy to bits.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
‘Our learned judges said the Home Office hadn’t even assessed that policy before adopting it
It’s unviable, it’s expensive & the only people it’s going to work for is the Rwandans’ #BBCQT
