@luckytran In the UK, national TV channels carried reports and video from New York of the situation inside hospital, the medical tents and freezer trucks and trailers for those deceased. We had already seen earlier film of the havoc in Italy where local doctors were dying.

@MuireannCait @Bradley_Cates_ Spot on. Visual acuity and the ability to read a number plate is not enough. The DVLA mandated eye test for existing eye conditions also includes Visual field and is more testing than the usual opticians standard. Loss of inner peripheral vision is more serious

@nurseybird1 £1500 a week is cheap. We we've has friends and neighbours landed with £1900-£2200 a week so and no a top of the range care home so an inheritance
disappears quite fast

@CliveWismayer Tracing worked well for smallpox outbreaks in Glasgow 1950, Brighton 1950. South Wales and Bradford 1962 with tens of thousand emergency vaccinations. It's highly contagiou with an incubation period of 10-14 days an infected person could have 25,000 contacts before diagnosis

@Ian73willis I was on an East Midlands train from Sheffield to King's Cross that got stopped at London where train manager said an electricity failure affected the entire Tube service. I knew that was impossible and there must have been a terrorist event.
