@VirgilsQuill Matthew 24:26
"Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not."
This heresy was put to bed already.
@TheBadTrad@MetzUAC1530 You are a fool with a hardened heart, pray for God to help you. Regardless of if Rome is right or wrong, you are talking to a straw man not the man before you.
We Lutherans do not use the demonic grape juices and do have the true Eucharist.
Irenaeus could not foresee our evil.
@TheBadTrad@MetzUAC1530 I believe the Eucharist is the body of our Lord, you cannot be Christian and disbelieve this. Irenaeus, again, supported primacy not eminency.
The orthodox position on the papal see is true imo, it was supposed to be a first among equals not master of serfs.
@justalexoki Ah, so XX and XY chromosomes dont exist, right?
Or perhaps this verse is about justification, meaning anyone can be saved, and not about the left hand political situation(s).
@ItIsHoeMath There are two ideologies fighting, The Truth and lies.
There is only one Truth, Jesus Christ, everything else is a lie.
The Lord God and the devil have been fighting for some time now, this is why the loser has had so many different lies.
Nice try in sidestepping my question. Funny timeline as well for a ‘deviation.’ Ignatius of Antioch, a disciple of John, called the Eucharist ‘the flesh of our Savior’ around 107 AD. Irenaeus said every church must agree with Rome in 180 AD. Your ‘papist corruption’ started before the apostles were even cold, I guess….
@TheBadTrad@MetzUAC1530 Yes, it is our deviation from his Church that has caused so much tumult.
The reformation was necessary because of the papist deviation from the Catholic faith.
@TheBadTrad@MetzUAC1530 If we agreed 100% on everything, there would be only one church. I believe true Christians can be found in those denominations, making them real churches. My lane is Christ.
@TheBadTrad@MetzUAC1530 I am Lutheran. We call ourselves Evangelical Catholics, but you would not agree we are Catholics in spite of the meaning of that word.
In my opinion, the only churches that are real hold to the creeds full stop; Anglican, Lutheran, Orthodox and Roman churches.
@TheBadTrad@MetzUAC1530 You do not understand Sola Scriptura at all.
We hold to the creeds, not because the church said they were good but because they are from the scripture.
Sola Scriptura is the notion that the scripture is the only infallible source, so deviation from scripture is unsupported.
