SEO News: Search Console is expanding on the social channels experiment with a new “platform properties” option for social/video posts.
For the one site I have access to the social channels experiment (for YouTube), I found the data especially useful - so it’s great to see this now becoming official!
With the new platform properties, you’ll be able to track which search terms lead people to your Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube content on Search, alongside content surfacing in Discover.
Platform properties will become available gradually over the coming weeks, where you’ll be able to simply select the platform to verify through when creating a GSC property and you’ll be able to see data with your dashboard!
More details on this rollout in the comments.

🚨 @bing is releasing New AI Visibility Insights in Bing Webmaster Tools: Intents, Topics, Citation Share, Comparison option 👇
* Intents: With the new Intents feature, grounding queries in the AI Performance Report are now classified into broader categories such as Informational, Commercial, Navigational, Learn and Solve, Research, Creation, Local, and more. This should help publishers move beyond simply seeing which queries triggered citations and begin understanding the broader query context our systems associate with those citation appearances.
* Seeing Visibility Through Topics Instead of Individual Queries: Grouping related grounding queries into broader thematic clusters. AI systems reason across concepts and themes rather than isolated keywords. Topics should help publishers understand visibility in the same thematic structure that modern AI systems use to organize information.
* Introducing Citation Share : Citation Share shows how much of the citation space your site receives for a specific grounding query. It is calculated as the percentage of citations attributed to your site out of all citations shown across all sites for that same grounding query. This should help publishers understand not just whether they were cited, but how much visibility they received within the full set of cited sources for that query.
* Compare Changes Over Time: Allows publishers to overlay a previous time period directly onto the current reporting view.
Intents, Topics, Citation Share, and Compare are now beginning to roll out in preview within Bing Webmaster Tools globally today.
Thanks @kmadhavan77 and the whole Bing Webmaster Tools team for being the leaders in providing the AI search data needed by the search community to better understand and optimize for AI search 😎🙌 Can't wait to use it.
