@ChoicesAddUp 1. Support for family members/loved ones of those accessing care for their mental health
2. Regular follow up upon discharge from hospital to decrease number of admissions
@ChoicesAddUp That would definitely be helpful! We currently offer our services like this in some way where if the individual doesn’t have access to technology, they can present to the office and we set them up for their appointment. As long as it’s properly organized it is quite efficient!
@Lorelei83813133@ChoicesAddUp I was just talking about this issue with a coworker whose mother was just admitted to LTC. The cost of living in these facilities is expected to increase exponentially in the future, and the aging population continues to grow as well.
@JHartthinks@ChoicesAddUp Funding for sure! There is only so much we can do with the money provided for mental health services here in Ontario. You’re so right, everyone is so quick to blame the health care system when really it isn’t our fault! We need more resources.

@Raisinw I definitely see a difference between BC and Ontario. Interesting how the 2 provinces differ! I'm curious about how BC includes both cultural identity and Indigenous identity... this is something that my province lacks.
