⚾ Wow, Raleigh. You did it again! ⚾
Yesterday, thousands of people came to hang out at @Trophybrewing (Maywood) in support of bringing Major League Baseball to Raleigh.
This community has proven, time and again, that there is an authentic and organic love of America's Pastime here in North Carolina.
We overstocked the shirts and hats this year and still sold out in less than 3 hours. But even after we sold out, you all hung out and talked baseball until the sun went down.
Keep spreading the word! It's you who has grown this movement from the ground up. From just an idea, to a true, legitimate frontrunner for an MLB expansion or relocation franchise.
Huge thanks to everyone who showed up, to the guys at Trophy for hosting, @ncbaseballmuseu for bringing the history, The Sandlot guys for bringing the culture, Lawrence BBQ for the insane 'cue, and @two_roosters for slinging Raleigh's favorite ice cream.
Things like this can only happen when everyone drops their individual goals and attacks an idea as a collective. And that's only possible where there is a truly connected community.
Raleigh is one of the few places where this is possible. Where people are willing to put aside differences to achieve something bigger.
Something special is happening here, folks, and that is no doubt that MLB has taken note.
Let's keep pushing to put #RaleighOnDeck!
