The local-first MCP gateway. Every tool, one port: all your MCP servers, every AI client, one config. ~90% less tool-token overhead, security built in.
Toolport's Linux app, rewritten in GTK4 for Omarchy, is now available.
It reads your theme colors and follows when you switch, tiles like a normal Hyprland window, and updates with pacman.
One gateway, every MCP server, every AI agent. MIT and free.

Omarchy installs in under a minute. Putting your things back takes all evening.
https://t.co/WKTXpWO5Ta is the other half of that minute - mine came back in 14 seconds.
ress backup, on the machine you like.
ress restore, on the machine that has nothing.
Packages, dotfiles, themes, web apps, plugins.
Every MCP server you connect dumps its whole tool list into your agent's context. On every single request.
https://t.co/6v4ihVE8Ic is a local MCP gateway that keeps that flat. The tool definitions cost you a few hundred tokens per call whether you have 20 tools loaded or 400.
Instead of loading every tool up front, it advertises a handful of meta-tools and the agent searches for what it needs. I benchmarked it end to end on a frontier model and graded for correct answers, not just "completed."
74% fewer total tokens at 3 servers, 91% at 6, every task still correct in both modes. The benchmark is in the repo if you want to run it yourself.
Three other things it does:
Code mode. Most agent work is five tool calls where four only exist to feed the fifth. Toolport hands the agent a JS sandbox instead. One script, calls in parallel, filtered locally, one round trip. The intermediate junk never hits your context.
Approvals. Destructive calls stop and wait for you. Deny actually blocks it. Your agent asks before it drops the table.
Tool integrity. It fingerprints every tool when you connect a server. If a description quietly changes later, you get told.
Set up a MCP server once and all 34 clients see it. Keys stay in your OS keychain.
Free, MIT.

@OpenAIDevs@awsdevelopers@cursor_ai@github@code@vercel Nice to see mcp.json settle on the mcpServers shape most clients already use.
We already read plugin-bundled mcp.json for Cursor and Roo Code, so a lot of this parses as-is for us. ${PLUGIN_ROOT} and ${PLUGIN_DATA} expansion is the main piece we'll need to add.
Matteshot is live on Product Hunt.
It turns one PrtScn into six polished, ready-to-paste screenshots without forcing you through an editor first.
You can also select OCR text directly from a screenshot and add time-ranged annotations to video—all locally on Windows.
If you use Windows, I'd love you to try it and tell me where the workflow still gets in your way.

https://t.co/GlUK52L0lE beta 7 is out.
Bring your own DeepSeek API key. Run it next to Claude, Codex, and all your other AI subscriptions. Same desktop app, one familiar experience across every provider.
Free. Open source.
Fable, Sol, Grok, and Kimi K3 all in one app.
Toolport Studio runs the agent CLIs you already pay for. No API keys, no extra subscription. Your Claude Max, your Codex plan, your Cursor seat.
Beta on Windows and Linux: https://t.co/CqSzfswSMW

Toolport Studio is in beta and available now.
One desktop app for Claude, Codex, Cursor, Grok, and OpenCode. It signs in through the CLIs already on your machine, so it runs on the subscriptions you already pay for. No API keys, nothing resold.
Start a chat with nothing attached. Add a folder when the work turns into a project, and terminals, diffs, previews, and source control show up as you need them.
Our goal is to take the best pieces of Claude Desktop and Codex and standardize them across all 5 providers.
Free, MIT, Windows for now.
