The first time I encountered this song was in the Titanic, a huge ship is about to sink, three men make peace with their souls, bring out their violins and play this hymn: nearer to thee.
Why you ask are Christians able to live with such radical conviction that death isn’t horrible anymore and they can go through it with grace? They watch their God do it and come out on the other side of it, and they have received that life.
Death is no longer a master of the guillotine, but a fine tailor, who gives us new clothes to be with our saviour forever.
@OTUNBA_TIZ@Eazzikiss Omgg God bless you for your kindness. I’d love to be selected so I can gift it to my sister who’s getting married next month. Please, please, please 🙏🏾
It was reported that Al Braca climbed atop his desk in the Twin Towers and said, "I'm going to Heaven, who's going with me." He then proclaimed the Gospel to his coworkers. Al's body was one of the very few that was found intact in the rubble.
Al's office was above where the first jet crashed - he was not getting out. Those who were trapped with Al and heard the Gospel message, and received Jesus as their Lord and Savior were blessed in that they were afforded this last chance. Many were not so fortunate. Therein lies a lesson: no one is promised a ‘last chance’. Today is the day of YOUR salvation; receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
If you don’t know how, message me ( David Wells)
"The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” (Psalm 121:5-8)
I asked this because my pastor talked about ahab in church today so I decided to read more about him and i relaized how deep God’s mercy really is.
We all know Ahab wasn’t exactly the man you’d use as an example of godliness right..
Ahab married Jezebel. He worshipped Baal. He built an altar for Baal and led Israel deeper into idolatry. This wasn’t one bad day; it was a pattern.
Then one day, Ahab wanted Naboth’s vineyard. Naboth refused because the land belonged to his family and he wasn’t willing to give it up.
Ahab went home, lay on his bed, turned his face to the wall and refused to eat because he didn’t get what he wanted. Jezebel asked what happened, and when Ahab told her, she took matters into her own hands.
She sent letters in Ahab’s name. Naboth was falsely accused, and he was eventually killed. Guys, Ahab got the vineyard he wanted.
Then Elijah showed up because God had seen everything….The murder. The lies. The injustice and everything.
Elijah told Ahab the judgment that was coming, and for once, Ahab humbled himself before God. He tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and fasted.
And here is what really gotme.
God said, “Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me?” Meaning God noticed everything he did.
Imagine, this was Ahab, the same Ahab who had done all those bad bad things oh.. God didn’t even say Ahab was innocent. He wasn’t. Naboth was still dead and the consequences of his actions still stood, but God noticed his repentance and showed mercy.
And that got me thinking…
Sometimes we are so quick to decide that someone has gone too far for God to forgive. We look at their past, their mistakes, their lifestyle and conclude, “God can never accept this person again.”
But who gave us the authority to decide who is beyond God’s mercy?
If God could still respond to Ahab when he humbled himself, then please never believe that you have gone too far to come back to God.
Come back.
God’s mercy is deeper than we think…
And that’s the best part of the story actually!
It didn’t matter what brought him home, the only thing that mattered was that he came home!
The father didn’t ask why or how, he just stood with arms wide open!
Come home oh, don’t worry about the why, just come first
In the end if the atheists were right, I lost nothing.
I would've spent my life as a loving and forgiving person, the best brother, a loving Uncle, a patient father and a faithful partner.
Lived clean.
But if I was right, they risked far more than a lifetime.
While I sat on the barber's chair for a haircut, I knew deep within me that I was to share the gospel with that young man. But I was afraid. I wanted to just stick to professional conduct.
When he was done, I gave him the money for his service and then, like a big boy, told him to keep the change…👇

I did my Masters degree at 36.
I moved to the United States at 38.
I joined the US Army at 39.
I got my US Citizenship at 40.
I started my PhD at 41.
I am building an African Play Center at 42.
Just do it. You will grow older anyway, so why don't you age with impact, influence and income?
I think I had always wanted to know what was on the other side.
I grew up in a Christian home. Daddy is an Evangelist (Pastor), and Mum is a deeply devoted believer.
So growing up, everything was church, Jesus, prayer, Bible study… everything.
And honestly, at some point, it started to feel like a burden to me.
I wanted to know what life outside all of that looked like.
I wanted to experience the world for myself.
And eventually, I did.
I got to see the other side.
At first, it was fun.
It felt exciting. I thought, “So this is what I’ve been missing?”
But it didn’t take long before things started changing.
I lost my peace.
I started drifting further and further away from God.
And before I knew it, I was becoming someone I didn’t even like.
I had no joy.
No peace.
And definitely no hope.
The things I thought would make me happy were actually taking more from me than they gave me.
And then, somehow, I found my way back to Jesus.
Or maybe I should say, Jesus found me again.
And honestly, running back to Him became one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.
Because now I know something I didn’t know then:
There was nothing on the other side that was worth losing Jesus for.
And I pray someday soon, you will find your way back to Jesus
We all went through this phase…especially when you’re coming from a religious background.
The phase where you think you need your freedom and you don’t need God.
I had my own share of it too. It was immediately I entered the university.
I wanted to explore the world…stopped going to church, wanted to wear anything and ‘enjoy’ the world without restrictions. No one could talk to me…I went full rebellious…
I’m just so grateful I didn’t make any grievous mistake during this phase of life…mistakes that could have rewritten the course of my life…
After a while I realized how empty I was…everything I was running to did not fill me…not the freedom, not the company nor association…
I ran back to God, found true peace, purpose and a sense of direction…
You’ll someday find your way back too sis, but while at it, be careful not to make mistakes that can mar you.
Love from here ❤️
my dad was a fucking rocket engineer who taught me something that made me RICH
wasn't some soft ass "believe in yourself" bs
it was QUICK MATH (keep reading it's saucy)
this man ran calculations for missile trajectories in the military. could tell you impact coordinates in his head while other guys needed computers. but he'd say "close enough is better than perfect too late"
"347 divided by 45? about 7. move the fuck on."
he'd make me calculate brutal equations instantly. not perfectly. INSTANTLY. because in real situations perfect math gets you killed while you're calculating
meanwhile you common folk are sitting with your calculator app making sure you got the EXACT answer while opportunities are flying past at 1000mph
this is why you're easy to kill in business...
you're trying to be PRECISE when you need to be FAST
business decision? you want 22 spreadsheets and three consultants' opinions. your competitor already launched, failed, pivoted, and is banking while you're on slide 73 of your market analysis like some soft as baby shit analyst
pricing your service? you're researching statistics for weeks. just pick a fucking number that scares you and TEST IT. wrong? change it tomorrow. you lost one day not six months.
"but what if i'm wrong?"
YOU WILL BE WRONG YOU FUCKING MORON
difference is i'm wrong in 5 seconds and correct in 10. you're still thinking about maybe being wrong next year while i'm already counting money
my first agency? picked price out of thin air. $5k/month felt insane. someone paid instantly. raised to $10k next day. then $20k. found the ceiling in 3 weeks.
you would've surveyed 100 people and ended up at $2k because that's what the statistics said was "reasonable"
quick math beats perfect math EVERY FUCKING TIME
hiring? meet them, trust your gut, done. "but what about background checks..." shut up. you know in 10 minutes if someone's solid or soft as baby shit. everything else is corporate theater.
launching products? ship at 70% and fix it live. "but what if..." what if you die waiting for perfect? at least i'm getting paid while fixing bugs instead of perfecting something nobody wants.
here's what overthinking really is: FEAR dressed up as intelligence
you're not being thorough. you're being a PUSSY, you want spreadsheets to blame when shit fails instead of owning your decisions like someone who isn't easy to kill
fuck your process.
347 divided by 45? about 7
should i hire this broad? she seems hungry? hired.
should i fire this client? they annoy me? gone.
should i raise prices? feeling poor? doubled.
CLOSE ENOUGH IS GOOD ENOUGH
perfect is for common folk who die with perfect plans. done is for killers who die with results.
i watch people spend 6 months on business plans that are worthless the second reality hits. my business plan was "make money." took 2 seconds. still works.
you know what matters? VELOCITY not accuracy.
100 decisions at 70% accuracy beats 10 decisions at 95% accuracy. because those 100 decisions taught you what actually works while your statistics are still theoretical
my competitors still calculating unit economics while i've tested 20 offers and found the one that prints. they have better spreadsheets. i have better everything else.
quick math principle applies to everything:
relationships? you know in 10 seconds if a broad is worth your time. stop needing 6 months of data to "be sure"
investments? thesis makes sense and founder isn't soft? send it. your due diligence is just procrastination with a fancy name
opportunities? someone offers you something that could work? say yes figure it out later. "but the statistics say..." statistics are for people easy to kill
here's the truth: your best educated guess RIGHT NOW beats your perfect answer NEVER
because while you're calculating, killers are DOING. while you're analyzing statistics, they're creating them. while you're planning, they're already celebrating.
347 divided by 45?
about 7.
good enough.
NEXT.
that's the yegor method. quick math. violent execution. adjust on the fly.
everything else is mental masturbation that common folk use to feel smart while staying broke
my dad could calculate missile impacts in his head but knew "close enough" beats "perfect too late"
a "close enough" nuke skill decimates a city. a nuke that never launches does ZERO
now make that fucking decision you've been sitting on. your gut already knows. stop pretending you need more data.
study the yegor method.
45 ! This boy here is helped by God. From A to Z, it is God all the way.
Saints, Today, please help me Thank Him. Give Him all the glory on my behalf.
And proclaim this new year “The year of The LORD’s favour.
The year of New Beauty. The year of Honour. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST !
“to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.””
Luke 4:19 NIV
If you never want to be an inconvenience, then you’ll never have any meaningful friendship, a meaningful marriage, or any meaningful relationship with anyone.
To love someone is to inconvenience them, it is to need them, it is to interrupt their plans, it is to ask for help, to need a ride at 2 in the morning to the airport, to need a store run because you must eat pickles right at this moment, all of it an annoying inconvenience.
And yet all of it also a wonderful inconvenience.
To be loved is to be inconvenienced, because a life where nobody bothers you, where nobody inconveniences you, is not a better happier one, it is just simply, and plainly, terribly lonely.

Genghis Khan has less than 10 manuscripts proving his existence.
Alexander the great has around 12.
Julius Caesar has 250.
Jesus Christ has over 25,000 manuscripts proving his existence, fulfilled 300+ prophecies, 500 accurate accounts stating the man they saw hung on the cross WAS WALKING AROUND 3 DAYS LATER!
