WHY IS THIS GUY DRIVING AROUND WITH 100s OF PHONES IN HIS CAR?
Well, apparently, this is a shady but effective local SEO hack lol
“Google has a patent describing directions-based ranking of places. It explicitly describes using direction requests and mobile location/search logs as signals of a place's popularity.”
So now, there are literal services like this where they drive around with 100s of phones to your local business...
Indicating your business is in demand, and this will apparently boost your local ranking
can’t wait to see what Google will do about this
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier. This has been a primary topic of discussions we've had at OpenAI in recent weeks.
Committing to having independent evaluators with employee-like access is a great idea, and we will do the same. We'll have more to share soon.
Anthropic CEO worries we're 6-12 months away from a swarm of AI agents capable of taking over the ENTIRE internet
Calls for immediate, global 1-2 year slowdown in AI development
Time to trust the people building the technology over the people merely investing in it
I never see any bugs or gnats in my kitchen but the Zevo insect catcher is telling me something different.
Anyone else using Zevo or something like Zevo?
You haven’t popped yet ….thats all.
Spoke to a kid last night at an event and he really deeply believed at 24 years old he missed his moment and opportunity.. I listened carefully as this is a topic that really has my attention … what struck me and why I’m typing this story is it was a stark reminder of what’s hurting so many of you …
Comparison … and even worse.. comparison to the .000001% … he referenced 3-5 people who are creating outrageous outcomes at a young age .. yet he was unable to see the room he was in, the things he’s already created … my friends
Comparison
Envy
Jealousy
Are all indicators of insecurity.. you aren’t comfortable in your own skin yet … you aren’t grateful enough to see you blessing … my friends you are just a kernel … that hasn’t even popped yet .. let alone had butter and salt poured on …
Calm it down .. slow
It down … you got this … you really got this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Alright guys here we go… I never wanted to make this public, but after attempting to resolve this privately, I feel the need to share my experience.
I hit a ~$15–20K Pirate Crew Luffy card in a rip & ship break. I paid nearly $200 for overnight shipping + insurance. What happened next is incredibly disappointing….🧵
The card was shipped with bulk cards pressed against it in a bubble mailer rather than being individually secured in a box.
It arrived with a significant crease/damage that materially impacted its value. Fortunately, I was able to document the card and packaging with photos/video.
The seller has acknowledged that the damage occurred in transit and directed me toward an insurance claim.
However, they have also maintained that their website policy makes them not responsible for cards damaged in transit.
My issue isn't that something went wrong during shipping. I understand that shipping carries inherent risk.
That's precisely why I paid nearly $200 for expedited shipping/handling and insurance.
My issue is the level of protection used for a card worth five figures.
I was incredibly excited to receive this card and decide whether to keep it, sell it, or potentially grade it. That decision was taken away from me because the card arrived damaged.
What's been most frustrating is not just the financial loss, but the difficulty I've had getting the seller to meaningfully acknowledge the circumstances and work toward a more immediate resolution.
I want to be very clear: this is not about attacking anyone personally. I have genuine appreciation for the fact that they pulled the card for me, and I would have preferred to resolve everything privately.
But I also believe buyers deserve to know how situations like this are handled when something goes wrong.
I have the original photos/video, the packaging documentation, and the complete message history. I'm sharing this so people can see the facts and make their own judgment.
I still hope this can ultimately be resolved fairly. I don't want a public fight—I want accountability and a reasonable resolution.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!
More time and energy to complete new and/or existing projects and anything on the the to-do list. This is what AI is supposed to help us accomplish.
So why are people still saying they do not have enough time or energy?
Gashapon in the US vs in Japan.
In the US, $6 on avg per capsule
Vs
In Japan, 3-400 YEN which is ~ $2-2.60
And the toys in Japan are much cooler looking/fun
We've gotten to the age that at get-togethers we now talk about what medications we're on and what tests we've done so far (e.g. prostate cancer check, colonoscopy, poop in a box, etc.)
Then the topic switches to AI taking over.
What a time to be alive 😀
Not to yuck someone else's yum but seriously...deep fried flavor Oreos?! 🧐🤔
And only $5
Cheaper than 2 pints of fresh blueberries
Which would you prefer, the deep fried Oreos or blueberries?
@paz_al3x here is another take.. Big pharma, please include statins in my food so I don't have to remember to take them every single day + so I can gourge on red meat and fried food 😆. Thank you
