At a time of huge USAID (and other aid) cuts, this message is just so important. It must travel far and wide. This thread is one of many that explains why. We must build local firm & state capabilities -and yes we can without aid.
@TeamYouTube Why is there a persistent problem activating a new premium plan across iOS, android and windows? Why isn’t this seamless? I keep getting errors - can someone DM me @TeamYouTube
@TeamYouTube@NFL@FanDuel@TeamYouTube - Spent days trying to fix inactive accounts issues - still unresolved. Why isn’t there access to a number or email to engage? Can someone DM me please .
Apart from the EU reaction, "a successful Chinese industrial policy that created a new export industry" is the essential takeaway for African policy makers and their partners.
Doing this well is what makes the difference.
The primary strategy to boost domestic resource mobilisation (DRM) in African countries is not the typical DRM approach that tries to maximise tax revenues from existing tax base.
Rather, it's industrialisation strategies that build the productive economy & widen the tax base.

“The economic damage that Brexit has caused is becoming clearer and harder to ignore”. Candour and clarity from ITV correspondent. We need an equally honest debate about how to limit the damage going forward. https://t.co/f8KYXMVCva
@TheOnlyEdAsner A good man.
"There are genuinely sufficient resources in the world to ensure that no one, nowhere, at no time, should go hungry."

Former friend voted brexit because of immigrants. Never saw that coming like a bottle being uncorked. Now has posted a pic of a Golly on FB asking for shares to see how many it will get before it is banned. Awful...
We cannot fully or equitably recover from this pandemic unless we recognize what this graph and others are telling us: Women around the world are still suffering disproportionately. And if we don’t invest now, they could get left behind. https://t.co/c2zGKsrTnh
@Liath74 Beyond despicable that society is spiralling to such low morale levels as to tolerate this. It's a problem that must be dealt with urgently and shouldn't end with mere calling out.
My 42yr old twin brother died in ITU of COVID-19 last week. He died exactly 4 weeks after testing positive. He was the fittest, healthiest person I know. He was climbing Welsh mountains & wild camping 4 weeks before his death.
Why isn't Africa producing Covid vaccines? Is it an issue of patents? Is it the fault of big pharma? Or is it simply a question of money and profits? @JoshThorpeBBC and I find out with @mpkieny@MedsPatentPool@toyinab & Professor Petro Terblanche https://t.co/N0dB1YocGV
