@gpbraves10@FightOnRusty Yes, exactly! Why would ND back out? Freeman said anytime anywhere. USC said ok let’s do Week 0. Why didn’t ND jump all over that to continue beating them down? Why wasn’t it an automatic “hell ya!”? Why did ND refuse to play? Why did ND back out?
@rbmcrae89@NickRodecap I’m arguing against your assumption that the college is good for those other sports. If the academy model is taking a tiny population and providing 10% of MLB players and tiny percentage of Euros playing basketball and turning them into the best in NBA, that model might be better
@rbmcrae89@NickRodecap Those other sports DO show it is the case…Football is irrelevant because no other countries play it, but 10% of the MLB comes from the tiny island D.R. which uses the non college academy system, as did 4 of the top 10 NBA players (Giannis, Jokic, Doncic, Wemby) are non college
@JarigdonJohn@educator4ever36 Want to hear something even funnier? Most of the kids doing that were holdbacks and are reclassifying back to their original class. It’s the rare few doing this and entering college at 17
@robolivermd@anymanfitness The top guys were all doing travel and specialized training 20 years ago, too. The gap between the top and bottom has shrunk, but the bottom still has no shot at playing next level. The bottom “has to” play travel now to make the HS team, but if collectively the bottom shunned
@anymanfitness Travel has brought the bottom tier up and made them better. However, The D1 bound kids today aren’t much better than the D1 bound kids from 20 years ago. But, players 4-14 on the team are a lot better. I’d still argue 4-14 are better served playing rec and multiple sports.
@Weatherhack@Doobskey Ya. I mostly play as a single in the afternoon on a wide open course. Keep legit score for 6-7 holes. If the score is good I keep going and post it. If it’s bad I turn it into practice, stop keeping score, don’t post. That happens maybe 1/5 rounds. No competitions
@trav_put5 Yes, in the context of the position that is a massive difference. Now post, “is 40 innings a large enough sample to determine reliable meaning from statistical data?”
@LesLukach Thanks for the reply. What’s it an introduction to? An industry and a company whose “…mission… is to… help athletes achieve their dreams of playing at the next level.” Intro or not, the end goal is the same as what this guy is “hawking.” So, 7th = ok, 4th = not ok. 5th & 6th??
Figure it out Elon. Just because I send one Russell Wilson tweet to a friend doesn’t mean I’m a Broncos fan and want to see nonstop Broncos crap on my timeline
