@dba_hba I have customers running their Oracle databases in AWS on XFS filesystems on EBS volumes. LVM not used, can extend volumes/filesystems when needed. Separate EBS volumes for database and FRA, and redo logs for busier databases. Works well for them. Patching GI would be extra work.
