Three points - one light-hearted, one thoughtful & one provocative:

(1) If one stops going to a restaurant serving only upma & starts going to a restaurant serving 100 items, it doesn't mean one "has to" eat 100 items! 😃

One simply has more choice!

(2) A Hindu need NOT worship many (or even any!) Devatas.

The force that runs the universe is too subtle - way beyond human perception or even conceptualization/ideation.

But some subtle forces that enable one to connect more purposefully with that Supreme Cosmic Force, ARE accessible to human perception/interaction, i.e. various Devatas! By forming a connection with various Devatas, one leads a more purposeful life (of various types).

BTW, in Hinduism/Sanatana Dharma as taught by rishis, one may not even worship any Devata and yet imbibe the qualities represented by a Devata within oneself through effort & blessings & get closer to that Devata (and hence to the Supreme Cosmic Force via that Devata).

Mind you, Sanatana Dharma is not your average faith based religion founded by someone in deep Kali yuga - it is a collection of subtle, broad & deep knowledge resulting from the seeking of the Supreme Cosmic Force by many great sages over millennia & independently re-validated by umpteen great yogis time and again, right till our times!

(3) It's amazing that some people feel totally free to call Hindu Devatas "fuckers and suckers". 😡😟

If one retorts about the other religion using the same words, all hell will break loose! Remember what happened to poor @NupurSharmaBJP ji? She didn't even retort - she just quoted their own scripture..

This one-sided & hegemonic ridicule & oppression of Hinduism by people of a couple of other religions that persecuted Hindus in their own heartland for about a millennium (and hence feel entitled/overconfident!), MUST end. And it WILL end soon. 🙏🕉️🙏

Salutations to Lord Ganesha, salutations to Goddess Saraswati, salutations to the revered Guru Maharaj, and salutations to the Navnath Siddhas.

The incarnate mission of Lord Krishna in the Dwapara Yuga was complete, and the duration of the Dwapara Yuga was coming to an end. Soon, the Kali Yuga was about to begin. At that time, Lord Krishna, the complete incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was seated on his throne in Dwarka. Nearby, his great devotee Uddhava was seated on an excellent seat. At that moment, in the assembly of the Yadava King, arrived the nine sages: Kavi, Hari, Antariksha, Prabuddha, Pippalayan, Avihotra, Drumil, Chamas, and Karabhanjan. Because they carry out the divine work of the nine manifestations of Lord Narayana, they are known as the Navanarayanas.

Upon the arrival of the Navanarayanas, Lord Krishna welcomed them wholeheartedly. He honored and worshipped them respectfully and inquired about their well-being. The Navanarayanas asked Lord Krishna the purpose of inviting them. The Lord replied, "I will soon take an incarnation in the Kali Yuga, and to fulfill the ultimate purpose of this divine mission, all of you should also take incarnations alongside me." When asked about who, when, where, and how they should manifest, the Lord explained that Sage Kavi should become Machindranath to work for the welfare of the world, and Sage Hari should become his disciple. Sage Antariksha will become Jalandharnath, and Prabuddha will become his disciple under the name Kanifnath. Pippalayan will be Charpatinath, Avihotra will be Vatsiddha Navnath, Drumil will be Bhartarinath, and Karabhanjan will become Gahininath. Lord Krishna further said, "I will incarnate as Dnyandev, Lord Shiva will become Nivruttinath, Lord Brahma as Sopan, Yogamaya as Muktabai, Uddhava as Namdev, Kubja as Janabai, Hanuman as Ramdas, Valmiki as Tulsidas, Jambavant as Narhari, Shukadev as Kabir, and Balarama as Pundalik. In this way, we will all take our respective incarnations and establish a new Bhakti Sampradaya (devotional tradition) in the Kali Yuga to protect and propagate Dharma." Hearing the Lord's words, all the sages were delighted and departed for Mount Mandarachal. Sage Shuka was already meditating there. Then, all the sages entered a nearby dense cave, went into deep yogic samadhi (meditation), and began waiting for the time of their respective births.

While Sage Kavi was in deep meditation, he saw that a female fish in the Yamuna River had swallowed the Brahma-Tej (divine cosmic seed/energy). He entered that divine energy in the form of a soul. Once, while Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were seated on Mount Kailash, Parvati requested Lord Shiva to initiate her into the knowledge of meditation. However, imparting such initiation required a completely secluded place. Therefore, Shiva and Parvati mounted Nandi and roamed across the three worlds. Finally, they found a suitable spot on the banks of the river Yamuna. There, Lord Shiva preached the knowledge of the Ultimate Truth (Brahma-Gyan) to Parvati. He imparted the seed mantra (Beej Mantra) and asked, "My dear, have you understood the knowledge I just imparted?" Even before Parvati could answer Lord Shiva's question, the female fish in the waters of the Yamuna, who had been listening to the discourse, exclaimed, "Yes! I have understood!" Lord Shiva looked at the fish and recognized that Narayana Kavi had entered the fish's womb for his incarnate mission. He said, "Kavi! You heard it! Wow! You have even experienced it." The fetus spoke again from the fish's womb, "Yes, I am experiencing the indivisible, absolute reality (Abhed Brahma)." Lord Shiva said, "Machindra, you are blessed. I will ensure you receive further instruction from Lord Dattatreya."
