@MartinSLewis My monthly direct debit with @SouthernWater has increased from £31.70 in 2024 to £72.50 last month. We're on a meter and our usage in recent years has been both stable and relatively modest - between 260-80 litres per day on average. How do people afford these increases? #scandal
@MartinSLewis Just been told by @SouthernWater of yet another increase in my direct debit. On a meter for years, with usage broadly constant.
These are my monthly DDs over the last three years:
23-24 £31.70
24-25 £44.49
From June 25 £66.70
From Feb 26 £72.48
It's a scandal!
@MattChorley Are these Xmas jingles clever post-modern festive irony or just extraordinarily terrible to listen to? Either way, OFCOM intervention feels imminent ... Merry Xmas!

@SW_Help Don't worry. I had travelled Win to Bsk. All the trains to Cpj from there seem to go via Wat. The guard has confirmed that I can travel on to Wat and double back to Cpj.
@SW_Help I was booked onto the 0618 Win to ClapJ train, which is cancelled. I will try to get to Bstoke and travel onwards from there - but National Rail advised that to get to Clapham I will need to travel via Waterloo. Will this be okay?
