#CPI2024: The Corruption Perceptions Index shows that since 2012:

🟢 32 countries have significantly improved their scores on the index
🔴 47 countries made significant losses

#G20TakeAction: We are very disappointed to see that the G20 Rio Summit declaration doesn't take corruption seriously. But, long story short:

#G20TakeAction: Yesterday, G20 leaders released the #G20Brazil Summit declaration. It seems they have found common ground on critical problems, from progressive taxation to measures to alleviate poverty and promote peace. However, we warn that, without addressing corruption and dirty money, these agreements will remain aspirational.

We believe the #G20Summit ends without clarity on how the world's largest economies will ensure how newly mobilised resources, including those from the global alliance on hunger and poverty, are allocated and spent to support the most vulnerable populations.

We have protested the G20’s inaction on corruption with a guerilla marketing stunt. Six paragliders, with canopies designed to resemble oversized US$100 bills, filled Rio’s skies & landed on a banner which read: “How obvious should corruption be before it’s a G20 priority?”

But they didn't. We hope that with South Africa set to assume the G20 presidency later today, President @CyrilRamaphosa will chart a different course. Without bold action, the G20 risks undermining their mission and leaving critical goals unachievable.
