@AMoonWriter It’s crazy how no two K. Kurosawa rankings are the same, I have Serpents Path ‘98 and Bright Future in the top 5, but Charisma at the very bottom. Also interesting how Cure is almost always #1, which is the same for me as well.
@2xFeatureRipOff Such a masterpiece. I agree about the theatrical cut being better. I like the idea of the “I just wanted to see you” scene, but having the happy ending right after is a little jarring, it just needs one extra scene in between the two to tie them together.

@unirespecter Just saw The Age of Innocence for the first time and was completely floored. Maybe Scorsese’s most visually beautiful film, awe inspiring.
@TheKuma077@UmbrellaEnt From the stills on their site, it looks like it’s still censored, but I’ve heard Miike actually wanted the censorship, to help the feel of unease or something. I don’t think any uncensored version exists.
@LowresWB I rewatched Only God Forgives recently and was surprised to see it’s still fairly controversial. Idk what it is about Refn that alienates people, even among film people.
