I know numerous current college student, and lately it feels like the future they’re preparing for is falling apart before we even get there.
Here's what I (and many friends) are worried about:
• Debt - Massive loans with no guarantee of stable jobs after graduating.
• Al replacing us - Tech is moving so fast that even coding, writing, and design careers look shaky.
• Insane cost of living - Rent and groceries are crushing us - even part-time jobs barely help.
• Mental health - Anxiety, burnout, and loneliness are everywhere — and campus services are overwhelmed.
• Global chaos - Climate doom, war, and economic instability feel like the new normal.
• Addiction & distraction - Social media and dopamine traps are messing with focus and identity.
I'm not trying to be dramatic — I just want real, honest input.
Is this just part of growing up?
Are there ways we're not seeing that make this all worth it?
How are you coping, planning, or pivoting:
Pi Network @PiCoreTeam joins RoboPay as a payment partner. Pi will be used to pay for robot services across the Fabric network.
RoboPay was built to enable AI agents to discover, hire, coordinate, and pay robots autonomously onchain, transforming robots from connected machines into autonomous economic actors capable of providing real-world services.
Today, that same infrastructure extends beyond AI.
Tens of millions of Pi users will have access to robot services directly through the use of currency that they already hold. Once available, the anticipated robot services may include requesting a delivery robot to bring groceries, dispatching a security robot to patrol a property, scheduling an inspection robot for industrial facilities, or interacting with humanoid assistants in retail and hospitality. Autonomous labor may become as accessible as any digital service.
This partnership marks a fundamental shift in how humans are able to interact with robotics. Instead of purchasing robots themselves, users will be able to simply purchase outcomes. Physical intelligence becomes an on-demand service that is discoverable, programmable, and instantly payable through a shared economic network.
By connecting humans, AI agents, and robots through the same payment infrastructure, RoboPay and Pi have created the foundation for an open machine economy, where autonomous labor can participate in everyday commerce alongside real people.
The future isn't just AI that can think. It's an economy where humans, AI, and robots are all able to transact, collaborate, and create value together.
Neuromancer is top 10 sci-fi canon and it coming to AppleTV is a seminal moment for sci-fi lovers.
Way before its time, 1984, it is the primary inventor of the concepts behind The Matrix. It coined the term cyberspace and the idea of a hacker hero “jacking in” with a neural interface to a virtual reality. Neuromancer is the soul of cyberpunk.
Mind you, it was written is 1984, well before the internet and when the first Macintosh released. “Life imitates art” is rarely truer of books.
You can really view the tech industry today through the concepts in Neuromancer. It’s one of my favorite books. I think it’s sad that the tech has been so mainstream that many people haven’t read the sci-fi canon that has shaped many of the founders and veterans of the industry, and are just extremely pertinent to society today.
Here’s my top 10 postwar scifi books I think everyone should read.

Happy 4th of July from the farm.
Forever grateful for this land of endless opportunity.

and you feel it in your bones....
You will never rest until you get there.

This is my greatest fear. I know what I am capable of achieving, and I have seen people around me who are extremely talented, brilliant and had so much potential, yet they did not live up to their expectations.
If only they had taken life a little bit more seriously and were intentional about what they did every day, they’d have had a better life.
I don’t want to look back one day realising I could have been better if only I pushed harder. My philosophy in life is to sieze every moment like it’s the only shot I’ll ever have and make the most of it so that if I ever have to look back, given similar conditions, there should be really nothing within my power I could have done better.

Chris Williamson shared a difficult truth about changing your life that most people never talk about.
“If you do it well, you might have to go through a period where you let go of all of your friends. But the really bad realization is if you do it really well, you might have to do that multiple times throughout your life.”
He explains that every major transformation comes with hard decisions and most people think the hardest part of growth is taking the first step. It isn’t. The hardest part is realizing that every major chapter of your life may require you to leave behind people, places, and versions of yourself that no longer align with who you’re becoming.
“If you’ve truly changed, don’t expect every friendship to come with you. Sometimes growth means finding your people more than once.”
Every meaningful change eventually forces the same question:
“Do I want to move forward on my own, or do I want to go back with my friends?”
One of the most honest conversations I’ve heard about why so few people actually change.
The older I get, the more I realize how many people waste their entire lives waiting to feel ready. Gathering more information. Creating the perfect plan. Simulating progress. Convincing themselves they’ll start tomorrow. Readiness is a myth. Action creates clarity. Do the thing.
if you agree with everything someone says, you're not thinking hard enough. if you agree with an entire philosophy, you’re not thinking hard enough. if you agree with a single political party, you’re not thinking hard enough.
Mark Douglas explains how consistency starts in the mindset before it’s reflected on the chart🤯🔥🔥🔥

“The fundamental threat to freedom is power to coerce, be it in the hands of a monarch, a dictator, an oligarchy, or a momentary majority.”
— Milton Friedman
I know two men: one built a garden in his backyard that ate four years of his life, fixed his neighbors porch without his neighbor ever finding out it was him, wrote something once, something heavy i could tell by the way he never brought it up. the other man has a mouth on him that can slice apart any room he walks into, politics, culture, decay, he can dismantle any argument you hand him. he has not built a single thing in ten years. and when you put them into the same room you notice it immediately. the builder has finished something the rest of us are still chewing on. it took me years to see what finished meant. he made his world, closed it behind him, lives in it now. the other man is still standing outside every door he has ever seen with that brilliant mouth full of words about the doors other people build
