@BillKrackman But the reality is the the vast majority of relatively successful tournament poker players are the ones who DON'T have egos and are professional about both tournament and rake selection (sorry for the diatribe, just had to throw in my thoughts there as a veteran in the field).
@BillKrackman Now that said, of course it doesn’t negate the fact that higher rake is worse for everyone in the field and certainly reduces the number of players that will be long term winners. But, people have egos (especially in poker), and will sidestep the economic reality for “a shot”.
@brianvsthebooks IDK, but these guys better capitalize on their 15 minutes ASAP, because it's going to feel like a weird 72 hour NBA Twitter Fever dream that we're embarrassed to admit we participated in to all of us in about 5 days.
@RetireAtRiver@unseth_ted@DanClarkSports What many fail to understand is that he was later to the party. He was easily the best in the league and saw those around him starting to close the gap. He probably just sat back watching a Sports Center one day overlooking him and said, "Yeah? Fine. Good luck now boys".
@RetireAtRiver@unseth_ted@DanClarkSports Yeah, that's the funniest part to me about the guys who brush off Bonds 'cause of roids (not saying this one is). The guy was leading the league in OPS every season as the best defensive left fielder I've ever seen. He'd also swipe you 40 bags a year for kicks. Aaron Judge? Lol
@JeffreyBenson12 I can see the tagline now: Bettor Turns $10K of "PEPE" Coin Into Historic $10 MM Future Win Following Rockies World Series Shocker:
When asked for comment the man - dressed in a full body frog suit - responded: "lulz"
@unseth_ted@appis_this@DanClarkSports (*week 11 when he learns all about walk-rates and the fear he held over the league is such a banger - it's when the kids start to truly grasp that in reality, this guy who was the greatest HR hitter of All-Time, WASN'T even trying to hit HR's until he wanted to prove a point!*)
@unseth_ted@appis_this@DanClarkSports (*cant’t wait til he gets to the big reveal point of his education where he learns that Bonds was unequivocally the best hard fastball hitter in MLB history. Shit, he might even learn about how radar guns are operated by week 2. It’s all so exciting!*)
@unseth_ted@appis_this@DanClarkSports Lol - I don't have the time to educate the kids of this era, you are far too down the propaganda hole. But I will leave you with these comments from 102+ MPH lefty/All-Time Great closer Billy Wagner on Bonds in order to start your journey of education here https://t.co/uUrxY5hCmN
@unseth_ted@appis_this@DanClarkSports Well to be fair to you, when I read the original tweet I assumed he was just talking about all of MLB history re Ohtani (as that debate was buried in a nuclear silo for this gens eternity last winter). But then you came in guns blazing with historical level stupidity, so ... 🤷♂️
@Jerrythekid21 Just FYI Jerry they're not going to give you asylum. It's time to pay the damn gas bill. They will work with you. Things will get better.
@unseth_ted@appis_this@DanClarkSports Absolutely the right call to call in Mayday and throw on the parachute ASAP after the last couple comments. I was genuinely trying to make sure you were serious first before breaking you open. Bottom line is that it is VERY clear you have no MLB knowledge, we can leave at that.
@BallparkPal Great. Going to delve into this at some point this week and glad to hear you’re open to responding to questions on it.
And thus concludes a positive Twitter interaction, which means I can rest now (it’s been a long 48 hours but building the Colosseum wasn’t easy either). 🙇♂️
@unseth_ted@DanClarkSports Wild stat I just taught myself is that Bonds had a peak-Judge level OPS while still in Pittsburgh, and that was years before he decided to finally relent and join the rest of the league at their little after hours rendevouz point he was trying to ignore. Hmph-The more ya know 🤔
@unseth_ted@DanClarkSports I mean Bonds absolutely shits on Judge as a hitter and was a full 5 tool legend for his first few MVPs. Ohtani and Bonds are the sentence, the paragraph and well the whole chapter. Judge is the footnote on page 4.
