@Mustang__72 @BillyArps524 @MLB @Brewers @budweiserusa It was a good question. Most people never notice them. Some teams use them all year.

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@BillyArps524 @Mustang__72 @MLB @Brewers @budweiserusa Yup. Made especially for the playoffs to deliver sound directly through the hat to the ear due to the noise in playoffs. You can read about its development in an article in Sports Illustrated by Emma Baccelieri from 2022. All playoff teams have them.

@makeitmorain I’m not going to discuss this more in an open forum.

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@makeitmorain Our attorneys have not performed an infringement analysis on your design since they don’t have it. But since you allegedly created a DIY PitchCom, and have not conducted a legal analysis to check to see if it would infringe, I tried to help you before legal action was necessary.

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@makeitmorain However, it could also be that providing plans that would induce others to infringe our patents would be considered contributory infringement.

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@makeitmorain Have you considered the patent rights of PitchCom and whether you would be violating those rights and setting yourself up for expensive litigation?

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@makeitmorain Review our 10 issued US patents covering our system.

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@coach_tack @TravisBOUND @AndrewSelgrad PitchCom has that. Canadian Football League used the audio system for every player on defense last year.

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@aria_gerson Actually, they can talk to the catcher live using PitchCom’s push to talk system. It is a hybrid that provides the prerecorded tracks that all the players hear, but additionally the coach can speak directly to the catcher (one-way).

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@ryanwebert @Seth_3773 Recorded. 9 buttons but you have thousands of options

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@ryanwebert @Seth_3773 Not true. You can program the buttons to say anything you want, such as “drop glove timing pick second base”. The Twins picked off Vlad G a couple of years ago in the playoffs after setting the play using that button.

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@lauramess_ Laura, PitchCom is used by most of the top 25 D1 teams in softball, the AUSL in 2025. Its reliability and service is unmatched. In your area, contact Fordham SB coaches and ask what they use and why.

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@mrjaming Yes, he can

[John Hankins @TripleNorm]

@BrendanKutyNJ You’d have to be inside the catcher’s helmet!

@JakeGaregnani @PitchCom_Sports @CBS8 Thank you, Jake, for helping people understand the origins and thinking behind PitchCom and how it works.

For anyone who might be curious about the development of the PitchCom System, this is a short description by the announcers in last week’s White Sox-Dodgers game. #mlb,#baseball,#pitchcom
