A 2,000-year-old Jewish ritual bath weighing about 25 tons was lifted intact from the ground in the southern city of Kiryat Gat this summer, the Israel Antiquities Authority said on Thursday.

The Second Temple-period mikveh was uncovered during salvage excavations before construction in the city’s Carmei Gat neighborhood. The discovery provides evidence of a previously unknown Jewish settlement between the Judean Lowlands and the northern Negev, the IAA said.

The last IDF soldier left Gaza on September 12, 2005. The keys went to the PA.

The crossings were open. That blockade everyone complained about? It didn’t exist yet.

Rockets were already hitting Israeli towns that same day. Greenhouses bought so Palestinians could farm were looted and smashed. By night, synagogues were on fire and crowds were celebrating. Here’s what came next:

January 2006: Hamas wins the election.

June 2006: Hamas kidnaps Gilad Shalit — they would hold him for five years.

June 2007: Hamas throws Fatah off the roofs and drags them through the streets. They take the Strip.

That is when Egypt shut the border at Rafah. Israel shut what the PA no longer staffed.

Man carrying what looked like an assault rifle spotted walking through a heavily Jewish area of Edgware in north London.

Shoppers ran for cover as he walked down Edgwarebury Lane in broad daylight, close to Jewish businesses and a synagogue.

Police later said they do not believe the weapon was real, but witnesses said there was no obvious way of knowing that at the time.

No arrests have been made.

These aren’t rumours. They’re the findings of the new @antisemitism documentary, Malignant, and they sit alongside polling showing two-thirds of British Jews fear unequal treatment on the wards, four in ten have hidden their Jewish identity from NHS staff since October 7, and one in three have felt unsafe in a British hospital.
Gideon Falter, the chief executive of the CAA, calls it “the antisemitic rot at the heart of our NHS.” He’s being generous. Rot implies decay. To me, this looks more like a skeleton of hatred.
