Dr. Augustine Ssemugenyi Kasozi is a Family Physician and Community Practitioner at Apac General Hospital since 2025. Though hailing from Central Uganda — Ow'Ekika ky'Engabi, Buwanda, Mawokota — he chose Northern Uganda as home, serving underprivileged communities in Lango since 2000.

Mornings begin in Emergency stabilizing diabetic coma, hypertensive crises and traumatic brain injury with limited diagnostics. Afternoons are in chronic care, managing a child with severe acute malnutrition, her diabetic grandmother and hypertensive mother, with nutrition education using local foods like Doodo and Acak cak.

Scope includes emergency and critical care, NCDs, adult ward oversight, and community outreach. His dissertation on caregiver burden in SAM fuels his philosophy: addressing causes rather than merely managing symptoms. Vision: Fellow in Primary Prevention, making healthy living medicine in every Lango home.

@nbstv @KagutaMuseveni If we cant pay high salaries something needs to be done to regulate inflation, prices of foods, access to low cost credit, access to social amenities. For instance if the hospitals and schools were functional then the soldier wouldn’t be worried about his wife or his children
