Let me explain what just happened, because I don’t think people realize how INSANE this is.
> Cortical Labs put 200,000 real human brain cells onto a silicon chip and trained them to play Doom in just one week.
> Each CL1 system costs $35,000.
> A rack of 30 units consumes only 850–1,000 watts combined.
> The human brain operates on 20 watts.
> Large AI training clusters burn through megawatts.
>Backed by In-Q-Tel.
115 units began shipping in 2025.
> Cortical Labs is selling “Wetware as a Service” through Cortical Cloud, letting developers deploy code remotely to living human neurons with no lab required,
> priced like a software subscription but powered by real brain cells grown from adult skin and blood samples.
> it isn’t about gaming, it’s about biological computing that could eventually outperform traditional silicon in energy efficiency and adaptability.
This is getting really scary and we’re still at the very beginning.
Prof. Donald Knuth opened his new paper with "Shock! Shock!"
Claude Opus 4.6 had just solved an open problem he'd been working on for weeks — a graph decomposition conjecture from The Art of Computer Programming.
He named the paper "Claude's Cycles."
31 explorations. ~1 hour. Knuth read the output, wrote the formal proof, and closed with: "It seems I'll have to revise my opinions about generative AI one of these days."
The man who wrote the bible of computer science just said that. In a paper named after an AI.

Russia's negative natural selection has resulted in the worst human beings ending up in highest places. First, they kill her husband, on the 2nd attempt, after torturing him for 3 years. Then on the day of his death he promotes a conspiracy that she was complicit. Piece of shit.

That awkward moment when you present ChatGPT-4 with an algorithmic problem you've used in interviews for 10+ years and it delivers the best solution no developer has ever given before... 😳
Now that OpenAI Chat GPT proved that 80% of questions do not require a live internet connection to get an answer. This has been my thesis for decades.
We have been working on a single chip to hold a quantized trained model of a Chat GPT 3.5-like platforms on a local chip.
By having AI not miles away or feet away but nanometers away from the CPU/GPU the universe changes.
Complete AI on a chip will start a revolution just like the microprocessor did.
We will find this AI ultimately in everything needed or not, just like the microprocessor.
However the ability to act in a closed local environment with the knowledge of most of the digital world, will completely remake society.
We have a choice to guide this to greatness or relinquish it to “those who know better”.
One thing you can’t say is: ”I didn’t know this was coming”.
Now—you know.
@jkff I have been doing the same. Sleep and general well-being is much better with 1 coffee then 4. Unfortunately always end up drinking 4-5 a day and sleepless night (like the one yesterday) to start over reducing down to 1 :)
