There has been a noticable increase in suppression by X on all accounts posting footage out of Gaza. It began around 4-5 days ago.

A good way to combat this is to COMMENT under posts, commenting has a higher algorithm effect than reshare or even quote tweets now.

Another way to combat it, is to copy the content and post from your own accounts. It is much harder to suppress a flood of small accounts than a few big ones.

Also, enable notifications (little bell icon) for accounts or you will not see their posts entirely.

The reason the world is upset with Israel is because Israel was killing one child and wounding two others every eight minutes, and killing two mothers every hour in Gaza; it kills or injures 11 children every 24 hours and kills 200 to 300 civilians every 48-96 hours in Lebanon. Israel cause more than 10 children per day lose a limb; at least 21,000 children have been disabled and around 44,000 children have suffered “new war-related injuries,” and 60,000 orphans had one or both parents killed. It's not because of antisemitism.

No amount of propaganda should convince you that the systematic murder of 100,000 people—including ~25,000 children—in 1,000 days is self-defense and not a genocide.

BREAKING: Iran directly rejects Trump's new claim that Iran has asked for a deal and seeks to agree to it by reopening the Strait of Hormuz, saying "there is no agreement regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz," adding the US-backed Qatari proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz is false and Israeli Channel 12's claim that Iran FM Araghchi accepted the deal is also completely false, per Fars.

Iran says the Strait of Hormuz remains fully closed under any circumstances, with passage only through the designated route with IRGC Navy permission. No changes have been made to Iran's policy.

Iran adds every US threat is treated as real, with Iran not backing down and instead using Trump's ceasefire period to raise combat readiness and strengthen deterrence.

A service called ISBNdb facilitates orders of up to a million books and keeps buyers anonymous. Pre-2022 books are premium because they're free of AI-generated text. A federal judge ruled the practice is fair use because eliminating the original means only one copy exists at a time. Anthropic hired the former head of Google Books partnerships to obtain "all the books in the world."

My Take
This got to me. A bookseller told 404 Media that rare books with almost no surviving copies are being fed into this pipeline. Books that survived wars, fires, and centuries of handling are being shredded so an AI can learn to write a better marketing email.
ISBNdb's website literally says "'AI company destroys two million books' is not a headline that generates sympathy," and they still built an entire business around making it happen quietly. They offer NDAs as a feature. They coach clients to call it "digital preservation."

I've covered AI companies scraping the internet, torrenting libraries, and stealing music. This is worse because it's irreversible. You can re-upload a website. You can reprint a bestseller. You can't replace the last three copies of an 18th-century botanical text once someone shreds them for training data. And the judge said it's legal. So it's going to accelerate.
"We shred rare books and offer NDAs so nobody finds out" is a legitimate business model in 2026. What a timeline.

The world’s biggest AI companies are buying antiquarian books en masse so they can be scanned to train their large language models (LLMs) before being destroyed.

Anthropic, the company behind Claude AI, has spent tens of millions of dollars acquiring millions of books to feed its demand for human-authored training material, the Washington Post reported earlier this year.

Codenamed Project Panama, the firm used a hydraulic powered cutting machine to lop off books’ spines and then slice individual pages, which could then be scanned with industrial-grade imaging equipment before being discarded.

Internal documents unsealed in legal filings in January revealed that Anthropic was acutely aware of how negatively such a project would be received outside the company.

“Project Panama is our effort to destructively scan all the books in the world,” an internal planning document said. “We don’t want it to be known that we are working on this.”

Earlier this month a judge approved a $1.5bn (£1.1bn) payment in a class action lawsuit brought against Anthropic by a group of authors whose pirated work had been used to train Claude.

However, in the original ruling last year, a judge found that Anthropic's use of physical books was protected as fair use under US law, Futurism reported.

The company was able to evade copyright issues by hiding behind a legal rule known as first-sale doctrine, which allows a buyer to do what they want with an item after purchasing.

The doctrine enables the second-hand book trade to exist – and a new market has now sprung up explicitly catering to AI companies seeking to buy vast quantities of old books.

“I personally have mixed feelings about all of this,” one bookseller told 404 Media. “It benefits me financially as well as by clearing out old inventory that is otherwise unlikely to sell.

“I’ve been well-suited for these sales with inventory from overseas and foreign language books. On the other hand, I don’t like the end-use, and I don’t like that uncommon books are being pulped.”
