High performers almost always want someone who’s also a high performer. Social media sold a fantasy that a rich man will fund your lifestyle while expecting little in return. That’s why so many are shocked by his comments. He’s not saying homemaking has no value. He’s saying people operating at a certain level want someone who’s just as driven & ambitious.
White pill: the generations that were raised amidst so much false propaganda about the nature of masculinity and femininity will inevitably lead to a renewed understanding of its true nature and a deep reverence for the beauty of masculine-feminine alignment, which operates on every plane of reality—biological, psychological, material, spiritual.
Men and women were made for each other, and if we have to rediscover that from first principles in a hostile information environment full of negative propaganda, then that’s exactly what we’ll do. But the future has always belonged to the lovers. And there’s a beautiful gravity about the inevitability of that; when you let it take you in, it feels like you’re flying.
btw in your 20's and 30’s you’ll start rediscovering the niche interests and hobbies you had as a kid. it’s very important you revisit them. your younger self was actually on to something.
“Alexander kept a special copy of the Iliad, annotated by Aristotle, under his pillow wherever he slept. He regarded it as a portable treasure of all military virtue and knowledge. When he visited the site of Troy, he paid special homage at the tomb of Achilles, saying he was fortunate to have Homer as the herald of his valor.”
