Using augmented reality, our colleague Nicola explains how some autonomous weapons work and why we need to act now to keep human control over life and death decisions.
In view of the extent of the work to be done to organize proper management of the deceased and their further identification, the ICRC strongly recommends that all mass graves across #Syria are protected.
Targeting civilians, civilian objects, health facilities, and healthcare workers is not allowed under international humanitarian law.

In armed conflicts, access to food is often disrupted, leaving millions facing hunger. Crops, livestock, and water sources are destroyed, and food aid struggles to reach those in need.
Access to food should not be a luxury.
It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing.
It doesn’t matter what your gender is.
It doesn’t matter what side of the conflict you’re on.
It doesn’t matter who your family is.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a soldier or a civilian.
Sexual violence is a crime.
