@fesshole I don't get this whole "rent-free" thing. It's kinda like a thought-terminating cliche. If someone says something you find objectionable, you're within your right to express annoyance and engage, forcefully if needed. It's basically "I have no argument."

@HiddenYorkshire I felt isolated at Uni til I joined RockSoc in 3rd year, even then left with few close friends with whom I maintain real contact. Character-building time but not nostalgic. Autumn triggers me more for primary/secondary school memories, mind, in that Pink Floyd's The Wall way.

@Hub61ork @fesshole OCD and some forms of autism have an overlap when it comes to being detail-oriented. But in any case, they'd need the sufficient executive function to be able to hold down steady employment, so yeah, it'd be 'mild' forms of autism, though it's not as simple as a sliding scale.

Maybe different because religions inherently have standards of decorum about the dead, but given it even moved me as a childless atheist, perhaps we all do in some way

If the powers that be wanted to distract the wider populace, they'd do something more dramatic. And even then, there'd be enough ppl going "dIsTrAcTiOn"

@easyJet I was affected by the disruptions on 28/08 and I incurred non-GBP transaction fees with my bank as a result of having to pay additional expenses in Euros. As I had no choice but to pay for things in € on my card, is there a way for me to claim this expense?
