One of the first concepts I learned from the coach I’ve worked with for many years now is that we all, as human beings, have a tendency to cast ourselves as victims or heroes and others as villains. And so we should notice when we are doing this and remember that this is a false construct — we’re all just human beings, doing our best. Villains only exist in movies.
Anyway, it’s amazing to watch others so routinely fall into this trap. It is so sad and unproductive.
