Excited to share our new study out in @NatureComms ! 🎉 We show that NK cell localization in the lung determines their ability to eliminate tumor cells.

Myers, Reilly, & Brossay @BrownUniversity discuss work by @csparano93, @SolisSayago et al. @TuguesLab (https://t.co/FnvUP9BlDu) which shows that tissue-resident NK cells produce TGF-β1 themselves to establish and maintain residency in glandular tissues. https://t.co/ecrhjVIrzH
Excited to share our new paper in @JExpMed 🎉 We show that NK cells use autocrine TGF-β1 signalling to establish tissue residency, form a highly cytotoxic subset, and protect the tissue against viral persistence. https://t.co/EkLtWAPWZo
I had a good time in Lyon at my first "NK&ILC Meeting"; great science, talks and people!
Thanks to the German Society of Immunology (@dgfi_org) for having gathered all these amazing scientists from around the world.
@TuguesLab
Thrilled to share our latest collaboration with @Becherlab: "IL-23 stabilizes effector Treg program in tumors" by @WertheimerT and @PascaleZwicky et al. out now in @NatImmunol. Check out the great tweetorial of the @Becherlab !
B cell depleting therapies effectively treat #MultipleSclerosis, yet our understanding of why remains limited. How does loss of B cells impact the immune system in MS? See our multicohort study employing high-dimensional single-cell immunophenotyping: https://t.co/C7OLO1IduT
Now out in Science Immunology! Our work on how metabolic stress of hepatocytes triggers inflammation in NASH. First clues for a non-invasive biomarker for the disease in humans https://t.co/ankFqdRgAq
@DrJHSchroeder@globalimmuno Thanks! Indeed, quite interesting to see this costimulatory marker on ILC1s (we see it specifically on these early, "helper-like" ILC1s but also on immature NK cells). We don't know it's relevance but some old studies suggest on NKs it's functional and can induce proliferation.
Please ask questions for today's Global Immunotalk by Dr. Sonia Tugues HERE by replying to this tweet. Don't forget to mention #globalimmuno.
Sonia will use the account @TuguesLab to answer questions.
Looking forward to our next #globalimmuno talk this Wednesday, May 3rd at 9am PST, noon EST, 4pm GMT by Dr. Sonia Tugues.
