I, not events or circumstances have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead and tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I choose to be happy in it because it is the day the Lord has made!
Let’s say you spot a barn used by a pig farmer. What was it built for? Swine, of course. Now, if a destitute man holed up there one stormy night, or a homeless couple tried to live in that pig barn, would it hold them? Yes, but it was not prepared for them, but for hogs.
Hell is like that. It was never zoned for human occupation. Rather, it was “prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matt. 25:41).
Jesus teaches us this in the great judgment scene, when Christ separates all people as a shepherd separates sheep from goats.
To those on his right, he says, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matt. 25:34). Note those words: “prepared for you.”
Notice also the contrast a few verses later. To those on his left, Jesus says, “Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matt. 25:41).
Kingdom of God: prepared for the children of God.
The Eternal Fire: prepared for the devil and his angels.
Will some people tragically end up in hell? Yes. Why? Because they reject Christ, reject his salvation, and refuse the life he gives. Their lives, therefore, do not bear the Spirit-produced fruits that characterize the sheep in this parable: feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, welcoming strangers, all done for those who belong to Christ, whom he calls “my brothers” (25:40).
God desires our salvation, not destruction. He would be happy if not a single person ended up in the eternal fire. But “whoever does not believe is condemned” (John 3:18). “They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.” (2 Thess. 1:9)
So let us repent, trust in Christ, and inherit the kingdom prepared for us from the foundation of the world.
An Uber rider picked up my items since last week Saturday and has refused to deliver them
He left with the items because he didn’t see the transfer immediately even after I told him I sent the money already and added a tip. Note that I wasn’t home so he was delivering to my mum
I kept calling immediately I was told he left with the items but he didn’t pick. He eventually reached out on WhatsApp asking that I send another ride to retrieve the item from him. I was inside a cab and the driver advised against as my items could go missing & untrackable
I told him I’d pay him extra if that was the issue as I didn’t want to argue with him. He refused and sent me another location at Ebutte meta to meet him (I was at Iponri at this point)
I took a ride and got there within 8min only for him to say he left
Note that he knew fully well I was on my way. Then he sent me a farther address in Oworonshoki to come to. At this point, it stopped feeling right, plus I had been nice enough to even book a ride to meet him considering I truly paid him when he left with the goods
I told him I wasn’t coming to Oworo, he should deliver to the address. He stopped responding or picking my calls since then, though he’s been reading my messages.
I escalated this to Uber but they’ve not been helpful @Uber@Uber_Support
Uber @Uber is saying the rider has delivered to me even after I shared evidence of our chats with them showing that he still has my items.
Despite this, there’s been nothing concrete from them
At this point, I need Uber to properly escalate this, recover my items, and take responsibility for how this case has been handled.
I have asked for measures to be taken by Uber should the driver keep lying despite my evidence but @Uber is not saying anything to it
The items belong to a customer and is past delivery date already. I have been calm about this since last week.
Posting this here because I have exhausted all support channels and still have no resolution
Please help me ask Uber where my item is and how I’m getting it back @Uber
Spiritual warfare 101 - No matter how overwhelmed you “feel” inside, never show the devil. You see, the devil is NOT Omniscient, so he does not know all things. The things he knows about us are things said and spoken of us. Or the things we let out from our mouths ourselves or by our reactions and actions. So while you may be overwhelmed in your soul, the way he gets to know is from your reaction. And because he is a wicked and oppressive entity, when he knows where it hurts, he robs it in the more.
But responding in praise confounds him. This is exactly the rationale behind the idea that praise confuses the enemy. Because he can’t understand why his onslaught is not causing you to give up and give in.
So beloved saints of God, regardless how you feel right now, find a way to release your praise !
“14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.”
Psalm 71:14.
You are BLESSED 🙂
Happy birthday Granny Adio! May the Lord continue to strengthen, keep you in peace and good health for the remainder of your days !
Looking forward to your 90th birthday mama 💃💃💃
Chemistry is not confirmation. Some people are sent by Satan to neutralise the fire you carry and you will feel chemistry towards them. Always depend on the Holy Spirit and not chemistry.
