Alexey Akhunov @realLedgerwatch , May 17, 2021 (from https://t.co/kRp3SkPv2r)
1/n When the turbo-geth project started as a hobby project at the end of 2017, I did not give much thought to the name.
PSA: Turbo-Geth's next release is gonna break stuff 🙂 Welcome to the age of Erigon.
Guaranteed to break:
New database
New file/binary names
New folder names
New RPC namespace
tg -> erigon
Might break:
Experimental Pruning & Storage Modes

🚀🚀🚀 #Erigon 2021.05.04-alpha! New default DB format (requires resyncing, see release notes); `trace_filter` is on for newly synced nodes; first draft of node "pruning", use `--storage-mode=`; regression fixes: perf for the execution and Baikal devnet.

Berlin hardfork is almost there. The first #TurboGeth version that supports it is `2021.03.01`.
Make sure you run this version at least.
Or, even better, upgrade to our latest release: `2021.04.02`. You can grab it at https://t.co/TMF14ExSvk
🚀🚀🚀 #TurboGeth 2021.04.03-alpha! Smaller maintenance release with fixes to `trace_block`, removing eth/64 support and turbo-mine testnet https://t.co/FjQ9HZqI5e
🚀🚀🚀 #TurboGeth 2020.02.04-alpha is here! More fixes to `trace_many`, fixups to `eth_getTransactionReceipt` for pending txs (required for some DApps) and preparations for Berlin hard fork

🚀🚀🚀 #TurboGeth 2020.02.03-alpha! Fixes to `trace_call` and `trace_many`, multi RPC-daemon setup improvements and more work on MDBX and splitting the P2P layer.

🚀🚀🚀 #TurboGeth 2020.01.03-alpha! Small release, fixes here and there. There are a couple of big and exciting features already in review that land soon!
We aren't rushing there. We care for both software stability and team's work/life balance.

🚀🚀 #TurboGeth 2020.12.02-alpha is here! Based off geth 1.9.24 with YoloV2 and EIP-2929; roaring bitmaps for changesets (more compact and analytics-friendly); experimental state cache; RPC daemon stability fixes.

.@realLedgerwatch's work on @turbogeth is outstanding. His super strong technical team (@mandrigin@vorot93 +++) is pushing the boundaries of what is possible on the base layer. If you want innovation, donate here: https://t.co/fgVQ3MxwCK
The good news just keeps on coming. What’s your excuse now for not running your own node? (Your excuse is theres no index of accounts. TrueBlocks fixes that.).
