Furthermore, Apple is a co developer of the connector (incl Thunderbolt protocol) and an early adopter (MacBook Air).

Apple wanted to keep milking lightning and other adaptors. Their early USB C only laptop move was also that way, forcing people to use so many adapters ($$$ for apple).

@sorek_UK @ChShersh Until the overworked developer forgot to clean it up cause security problem. So a properly used smart pointer is safer unless there is a justification (see: MISRA, Autosar).
I do agree with you however, first choice should be static allocation/ RAII and then dynamic allocations.

@aruni_t There is a regulation that SL citizens working abroad should register at the Beuereo. They handle repatriation, etc (esp domestic workers)
I also know friends who work as engineers abroad, who were forced to register with them.
I think if you have the PR then this isn't enforced.

@atulit_gaur They are almost always available or as an option for business laptops, ThinkPad, Dell Latitude, HP Probook, etc. had it in all the 3 ThinkPad models I owned so far.
The cheaper consumer grade laptops don't have them as most of the consumer base don't need them.
