Truth lies somewhere between different perspectives of what reality sees. The way reality stares back at us changes our perception, or at least it should.
@Nigel_Farage Not as much as you have sponged out of parliament, you been to clacton and held a surgery yet. Then there is all the money sponged off of the EU. On top of that you are a paid shill for Russia and multiple others so do f@ck off.
@IsabelOakeshott Another Tory shill failing to mention that negotiations started two years ago under a Tory government they can’t help themselves and lie all the time.
It’s no secret what the NHS needs:
- increase bed capacity by 20,000
- increase primary care capacity by 50%
Total cost = ~£12b
Total amount the private sector took out of the NHS last year = £12b
Yes, it’s a political choice!
In January 2025 Energy Prices are expected to go up at least another 3% in the UK.
In France they will drop 10%, due to falling energy costs even though their bills are already 40% lower than ours.
We are being ripped off.
All the evidence shows that privatisation has
1) Worse outcomes for patients, and
2) Is more expensive for taxpayers
Guess who benefits?
Profiteering companies.
It is utterly shocking & deeply depressing that Labour, which founded the NHS, is intent on more NHS privatisation
Most #NATO guided weapons rely on American granting permission to use their technology as demonstrated by #POTUS stance with #Ukraine️#EuropeanUnion should consider what happens if #USA decides it doesn’t want to be at war with #Rusia but #Putin gives #Europe no choice.
Never forget. This man asked people to vote on #Brexit. Without defining what Brexit meant. Without carrying out any projections of consequences. All in an (unsuccessful) attempt to settle an internal Tory party feud. He then knighted all his mates and f***ed off into the sunset.
Simple fact:
If we use public money to pay for private firms to provide healthcare, not all of that money goes to patients since some goes to profits.
If we use public money to pay for public NHS care, ALL the money goes to patients.
1979: UK was sitting on a revenue bonanza from North Sea Oil, had a National Debt of just £80bn and owned all it's utilities, transport, infrastructure & millions of social homes.
2024: UK has £2.8Tn national debt & virtually no assets.
Capitalism has destroyed our kids' future
Since 2012, the NHS has lost £10 million *every week* to private healthcare profits.
If the government really wanted to save money, it would stop wasting billions of pounds on private contracts.
End outsourcing. Reverse privatisation. Restore a publicly-owned NHS for all.
@andreajenkyns@metpoliceuk Spoke to a black cab driver he told me that him and his other cabbie mates were trying to come up with bullshit to tell that gullible idiot Dame Andrea Jenkyns
Let's stop questioning the cost of winter fuel payments and start addressing the root cause. It's clear that either pensioners don't have enough income to meet their basic needs, or the cost of essentials like heating fuel is artificially high due to corporate greed.
