Exceptional vibes at Tuff Gong Studio today!
Got a sneak preview of the new collaborative album from the Jamaica Tourist Board and Stephen Marley.
This album is a beautiful tribute to our culture, our landscapes, and the sweet sound of reggae.
Huge congratulations to Stephen and the Jamaica Tourist Board team on this incredible initiative.
I have my personal favorite track already, but I want to hear from you; If you had to pick one song that perfectly describes the energy of Jamaica, what would it be? Let’s talk in the comments. 🇯🇲
While we must continue strong tactical operations to address organized violence, this must always be balanced with a deeper focus on community policing, crime prevention, dispute resolution, intelligence, and public order.
The work of the Jamaica Constabulary Force must continue to evolve, strengthening professionalism, discipline, stakeholder engagement, and security education, so that public trust is protected and built even as we confront crime.
As we advance this strategy through the National Security Council, we are also broadening the vision of the ministry into one that places equal focus on security and peace.
The reduction in murders has been achieved not only through the work of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), but also through the support of communities across the country. More citizens are now willing to share information because there is greater confidence that their safety and identity will be protected.
Public support remains essential. The police need communities that are willing to speak up, acknowledge good work, and support their presence. Trust can be affected quickly by a single incident, so it must be protected at all times.
The transformation within the JCF is being reflected in stronger public confidence and more young people showing interest in joining the force. This progress must be supported by discipline and professionalism in every interaction between officers and citizens.
Checking on my fruit trees with the expert.
Senior Agronomist at RADA Locksley Waite gave me some key insights on caring for my fruit trees and keeping everything nice, healthy and growing.
‘Nuff respect’ to RADA and the team!
Happy Birthday to the one and only “Mama Lyn”. I made a surprise visit to check on her and she was very emotional when she saw me.
When we go through difficult times it is always good to know you are remembered, valued and loved.
West Central St. Andrew loves you Mama Lyn!
Yesterday, May 20, in recognition of National Centenarians’ Day, I joined the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, through the National Council for Senior Citizens, in celebrating our centenarians. (1/3)
As we begin Workers’ Week, I encourage every Jamaican to answer the call to service and nation building as we strengthen our communities.
This Labour Day, we’ll restore the Lewis Town Early Childhood Institution, improve Sabina Park, and honour National Hero Samuel Sharpe. (1/2)

I am in Turks and Caicos Islands, where I am meeting with a contingent from the Jamaica Constabulary Force. These officers have been instrumental in helping to reduce crime here in the islands. Our officers are exceptionally well trained, and their presence here is a testament to that training. The Government of the islands is pleased with the work these officers have been doing under the leadership of Commissioner Fitz Bailey.
I had the pleasure of inspecting our officers and speaking with them about the important work they have been carrying out here.
Sculpture of Miss Lou, an iconic Jamaican culture stalwart who is no longer with us. Her work in the area of Jamaican culture was remarkable and impactful. She set it! And har respect concrete. This sculpture is located in Gordon Town, Jamaica. Go check it out. Zeen. ❤️🇯🇲
The passing of Mr Dennis Lalor has stripped Jamaica of one of its most consequential private sector builders, a man whose life’s work helped to shape the architecture of modern Jamaican business, while leaving a legacy rooted as much in service as in success.
After 91 years, a remarkable chapter defined by vision, discipline, and a steady commitment to national development that extended far beyond the boardroom has closed.
