The answer: France 9%, UK 7.5%, Italy 6.2%, Germany 2.1%. UK growth hardly stellar since Brexit, which I don’t consider a success. But none of Europe’s four biggest economies has done well this decade.
But these figures do undermine all these claims/studies that, but for Brexit, the UK economy would be 4/6/8% bigger. Add that to the actual 7.5% and you’d get an unprecedented UK performance v the other three. Simply not credible.
The sad fact about Europe in the 2020s is that, in or out of the EU, its four biggest economies are not doing well.
@wfcouncil Opinions may differ on architecture. But with a classically-inspired marble building in the background, I imagine many people would consider a traditional straight footpath with attractive flower beds either side to have been a more congruent approach.
@parcelforce Email received about today's delivery. It falsely claims that delivery was attempted. Doorbell was not rung, card has not been left. Very frustrating. Can you help?
@TfL What is up with signage and announcements on the Overground? Have been all over the place for weeks. Signs at Walthamstow Queens Road say train on time when its arrival time has clearly passed. No staff. No announcements.
@parcelforce I amended delivery to leave at neighbour's house, but am now back at home. Can I revert delivery to come to my house? No option to do so via phone. Please help.
@lissachapman Whenever I see photos of the Palace Theatre in the distance, it makes me feel so sad that it’s gone! (A feeling worsened by knowing what they replaced it with)
Every time I log into Twitter after having been off for a while doing normal-person things, it feels like everyone is experiencing a collective anxiety disorder.
"I love remote work but I miss the serendipitous moments in the office when I caught up with a coworker while getting coffee and had a breakthrough."
Okay, let's talk about this. Starting with:
Those weren't truly serendipitous moments 👇
