@_Elantris_ It’s normal to take the pasta out of the water when undercooked by a minute or two (I’d call it pre-Al dente) to finish cooking it in the sauce. There should not be any raw / white dot / crunchy but in the centre when it’s actually eaten.

@_Elantris_ It’s done to death in the replies by now, but it just means it’s not over cooked/mushy.

Undercooked pasta is easy to avoid as there’s a larger window than people think between undercooked and overcooked, so long as you’re not using a very delicate pasta shape.
